EN→ITLenovo's ThinkPad P16 is currently our favorite kaiju-class mobile workstation, and the ThinkPad P1 Gen 6 is a superb entry in the slightly tamer, much-more-portable segment. It doesn't quite steal the Dell Precision 5680's Editors' Choice award because of the latter's longer battery life and spectacularly powerful Nvidia RTX 5000 Ada professional GPU (a P1 option; our test unit was just differently equipped), but it's a winning laptop for the toughest work tasks.

EN→ITTry as I might, I had a hard time justifying the ThinkPad P1 Gen 6’s price. Yes, it’s fast, but it’s not faster (or, in some cases, as fast) as mainstream machines costing thousands of dollars less. It’s well-built, but so are all ThinkPads, including the less costly ThinkPad X1 Extreme that’s likely as fast in its latest generation. There’s a three-year warranty, which is better than the one-year standard with mainstream laptops, but most offer upgrades that match what’s available with the ThinkPad P1 Gen 6. Everything considered, this portable workstation is hard to recommend.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU:
Scheda grafica di fascia alta per laptop basata sull'architettura Ada Lovelace. Offre 12 GB GDDR6 (192 Bit) ed è configurabile con un TGP di 60 - 150 W (+ Dynamic Boost).
Queste schede grafiche sono paragonabili alle entusiasmanti schede grafiche desktop, come la 9800M GT. Le schede hanno un core simile alle relative schede desktop, ma hanno un clock inferiore e spesso hanno processori con meno ombre. I giochi moderni come Age of Conan, Race Driver Grid, Call of Duty 4, Mass Effect, o Gothic 3 dovrebbero scorrere in modo fluido con dettagli elevati (Crysis dovrebbe funzionare con dettagli medio alti).

i7-13800H: Su una CPU mobile basata su Alder-Lake con 6 core ad alte prestazioni e 8 core efficienti. I core ad alte prestazioni offrono l'hyper threading, che porta a 20 thread che possono essere elaborati. La CPU ha un clock fino a 5,4 GHz. Rispetto all'i9-13900HK, non è supportato un facile overclocking, ma è invece supportato un set completo di funzioni di gestione vPro.
