Tirando le somme Huawei ha lanciato sul mercato sicuramente un grande smartphone, completo sotto ogni aspetto e sorprendente per altri, vedi comparto audio e telefonico. E’ rimarcabile anche lo sforzo su determinate implementazioni software così come ricca è la dotazione hardware e l’aspetto estetico. Sembrerebbe dunque lo smartphone di fascia alta perfetto, e lo è per certi aspetti, sebbene ci sia una cosa che non ci ha convinto a pieno e ci risulta essere un mezzo gradino sotto la concorrenza: il reparto fotografico.

Questo Huawei Mate 9 rappresenta l’affermazione definitiva della compagnia nel mondo degli smartphone. Sebbene i precedenti prodotti siano comunque ottimi, questo, per via di alcune coincidenze, è considerabile come il “phablet” per eccellenza per questo 2017. Grazie ad un’ottima fluidità, un’interfaccia interessante e funzionale ed una fotocamera degna di nota, è il terminale che tutti dovrebbero acquistare se interessati a un device di questo segmento.

Giudizio del team : dello smartphone Huawei Mate 9 sono usciti altri modelli addirittura più potenti ma già questo ci porta infinite soddisfazioni. L'hardware è eccezionale con uno schermo curvo che arriva fino ai laterali della scocca, scocca quest'ultima davvero molto robusta. Insomma questo Huawei non è per nulla un giocattolino ma un gioiellino di cui tenere cura giorno per giorno come fosse il nostro bambino.

In conclusione il Huawei Mate 9 è a mio parere il phablet di fascia alta che può soddisfare maggiormente l’utente che è alla ricerca di un dispositivo con uno schermo con dimensioni elevate, ma allo stesso tempo che abbia un hardware capace di regalare prestazioni particolarmente elevate, tuttavia c’è bisogno ancora di qualche piccolo aggiornamento lato software sul reparto fotografico che per quanto sia comunque di ottimo livello potrebbe migliorare ulteriormente il risultato finale delle foto e anche dei video, soprattutto quando c’è poca luce. Ottimo invece l’hardware, il software EMUI 5.0 e l’autonomia della batteria, mentre il display per quanto sia di ottima qualità, lascia un pò perplessi in quanto viene da chiedersi come mai non si è puntato su un AMOLED visto che si sta parlando uno smartphone top di gamma non di certo economico. Insomma, un phablet con i suoi pro e i suoi contro, a voi la scelta.

Disponibile in due colorazioni: Space Gray e Moonlight Silver. Il prezzo ufficiale è di 749€. Huawei Mate 9 offre un hardware completo e prestrante, software ben ottimizzato, buona durata della batteria, sensore infrarossi (purtroppo sempre più rari da trovare negli smartphone) ed un ottimo comparto fotografico. L’unica vera mancanza di questo dispositivo è l’impermeabilità: caratteristica ormai essenziale in un TOP di gamma. La somma da sborsare per portarsi a casa questo gioiellino gigante, è elevata; ma è anche vero che di alternative valide ce ne sono ben poche.

Una costruzione granitica, un software curato in ogni minimo dettaglio ed una connettività completa ed appagante, oltre ad un comparto fotografico divertente, rendono Mate 9 il miglior phablet di questo 2016. Il prezzo di listino per l'Italia è di 749 euro ma si trova già in commercio allo street price di 699 euro. Per questa cifra non potete comprare nient’altro che abbia Android 7.0 out of the box.

Può Huawei Mate 9 colmare il vuoto lasciato da Note 7, battendo altri phablet e conquistandosi una posizione sul trono? Secondo me sì. Huawei ha messo molta cura in tanti aspetti di questo dispositivo, che ad oggi ha nei suoi difetti un filo comune: un software acerbo come la stessa casa ci ha avvisato quando ci è stato consegnato, solo che oggi il telefono sta toccando i negozi e non si è vista ombra di un update sostanzioso. La EMUI ha poi dei difetti di forma: è ricca ma talvolta poco coesa, ed è una interfaccia impegnativa per gli utenti.

Il Huawei Mate 9 viene venduto in Italia ad un prezzo di listino di 749 euro, 50 euro in più rispetto a quanto detto in fase di prenotazione. Peccato. Il Mate 9 migliora sotto molti aspetti rispetto alla generazione precedente. Ottime prestazioni, un’elevata autonomia ed un comparto fotografico soddisfacente (non video) sono tra i punti di forza di questo Mate 9. Sarebbe stato sicuramente molto apprezzato un display AMOLED e risoluzione maggiore considerandone la diagonale. Tuttavia, la scelta di mantenere un pannello Full HD può essere considerata valida in ottica di risparmio energetico. Altra mancanza rispetto ad alcuni competiors è la resistenza ad acqua e polvere anche se, come dico spesso, la ritengo utile ma non indispensabile.

Il Mate 9 potrebbe riuscire a farvi dimenticare completamente del dispositivo che avete attualmente in tasca!

It offers a new SoC that boasts significantly improved graphics power, refined industrial design that makes the phone look and feel every bit as premium as a Samsung or Apple handset, and a much improved camera. It is not perfect, but it makes a compelling premium option at its $600 MSRP when compared to an iPhone 7 ($650) or Galaxy S7 (~$670). I find it very easy to recommend based on overall camera quality (especially B&W!), excellent battery life, and a very good display. Drawbacks are rather minor, and include lack of VoLTE support, and (to a lesser extent) the stereo loudspeaker design; but no current phone is “perfect”, now is it?

In his opening pitch CEO Richard Yu reckoned the three bugbears of modern smartphone ownership are crummy cameras, poor battery life and midlife system degradation. The Mate 9 certainly addresses the first. More testing will be required to see of the second and third points issues have been significantly addressed. Either way the chips have fallen nicely for Huawei. The sudden and all too public demise of the Galaxy Note 7 has left the Mate 9 with a huge potential market. Granted there's no stylus, but the Mate 9 is cheaper, has a larger screen and it runs Android 7 out of the box. Even if the Note 7 hadn't self-immolated so spectacularly, the Mate 9 would probably have been a winner, but as things stand Huawei may well have problems keeping up with demand.

The screen technology and the auto mode for camera could be improved upon but these are features that can't be overlooked considering the phone costs 699 Euros which translates to AED 2800. However, Huawei has priced it's phones a bit lesser in the Middle East so I won't be surprised to see an official pricing of AED 2499.
