The HP ProBook 6360b (Best Deal: $949.99 at neweggbusiness.com) is a respectable contender in the 13.3-inch business laptop contest, with responsive performance and a keyboard that narrowly tops that of the Editors' Choice Toshiba Portege R835-P88. But its extra pound and a half of weight, and lack of HDMI and USB 3.0, make it hard to recommend over the Toshiba R835-P88. It's not always hip to be square.

You do sacrifice a few features compared to more expensive Sandy Bridge models in the 13-inch category such as a slightly faster processor, lack of USB 3.0 ports, a backlit keyboard and added thickness, but some would argue that the tradeoff is justified as you get an optical drive, 54mm ExpressCard slot, VGA-out and a better trackpad/buttons -- not to mention the ProBook's superior autonomy. As always, it simply boils down to your individual needs. If you want a capable business class notebook and don't care about how chic it is, the $750 ProBook is worth considering. Should you require a bit more processing power or desire a thinner, lighter and more modern looking machine, the rotund ProBook won't make your short list of potential buys.

There is no dedicated graphics card in the HP ProBook 6360b, which means you have to settle for integrated graphics. Because of that, you can count out playing any of today's 3D games, but it is good enough for some video editing and watching HD content online. The included six-cell battery will provide about 5:30-6:30 hours of battery life, which is about average for other laptops of similar caliber.

Intel HD Graphics 3000: 3 imminenti (Q1 2011) schede grafiche integrate nel processore Intel Sandy Bridge (Core ix-2xxx). La 3000 / 200 è la versione più veloce internamente chiamata GT2 con 12 Execution Units (EUs).

Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.
