For $319 you should take a long, hard look at the new Asus Eee PC 1025CE, with its state-of-the-art 1.86GHz Cedar Trail processor, USB-3 port and 10 hours’ battery time.

EN→IT Archive.org versionThe Compaq Mini is like other netbooks we've reviewed: a suitable travel companion but not serious enough to be used as a primary machine. The low resolution screen hampers usability and the overall performance is horrific; it struggles even with basic tasks such as Microsoft Office. There are some positive aspects: the anti-glare screen coating, great keyboard and touchpad, and nearly seven hours of battery. The real reason to get this netbook though is the built-in Verizon 4G LTE network, which is blazing fast. That's one aspect of this machine I can't fault.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 3150: Scheda grafica integrata (memoria condivisa) nell'Intel Atom N4xx CPUs. Minimamente più veloce rispetto ad una vecchia GMA 950 e pertanto non adatta ai giochi 3D o ai video HD (solo accelerazione MPEG2).
Queste schede grafiche per portatili non sono adatte al gaming. Anche se dovessero funzionare, ci sarebbero diversi errori grafici e un frame rate molto basso. Questi chips non sono affatto per i gamers! Applicazioni internet e da ufficio, invece non sono problematiche per queste GPUs.

Intel Atom:
La Intel Atom è una serie a 64-Bit di microprocessori (non tutti i modelli supportano 64bit) per portatili economici e piccoli (chiamati comunemente netbooks), MIDs, o UMPCs (Ultra Mibile Persona Computer). La particolarità della nuova architettura è l'esecuzione "in order" (al posto della consueta e più veloce esecuzione "out of order"). Di conseguenza il transistor count della serie Atom è abbastanza inferiore, e quindi più economico da produrre. Inoltre, il consumo di energia è molto contenuto. Le prestazioni per Megahertz sono ovviamente peggiori rispetto ai vecchi Pentium 3M (1,2 GHz alla pari di 1.6 GHz Atom).
