Generally speaking, my only major gripe with the unit boils down to its lackluster speakers, other than the less-than-stellar gaming performance on its battery, which is typical for laptops anyways. The sound is somewhat muffled, and the tonal range seems a bit limited. While serviceable, this is another unit where a pair of nice headphones will be a massive upgrade, but that too is to be expected. It is due to the limited space in a laptop to begin with, and the size of laptop speakers and how they are set up will never have the sound quality compare to a nice set of headphones or proper speakers. There is also the webcam—it is a 720p option with terrible image quality compared to dedicated units. At the end of the day, it feels tacked on in order to check off a box on the feature list. It does at least include a sliding cover as a privacy measure, which is a nice touch.

The size and weight mean it can indeed be used on your lap, although you will find a table more comfortable, and it will slip inside a backpack or shoulder bag without difficulty. Battery life is good, gamers might be able to take advantage of the 240Hz screen and everyone should love the mechanical keyboard.

For RM10 499, I think the GIGABYTE AORUS 15G is definitely worthy of consideration if you are looking for a gaming laptop that looks good, performs well, and doesn’t come in black. Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
