EN→ITOn its own, the Alienware M15 R3 is a great laptop. But when you take a look at the competition, you realise that Alienware is still a few steps behind. Currently, you can get a gaming laptop in a similar configuration at a far lower cost than the Alienware M15 R3. Alienware needs to take a few pages out of Dell’s XPS’ diary and focus on continual annual improvements. They have a great product, and just by sorting out a few issues like cooling and setting a competitive price will make help return the Alienware return to its former glory.

You get powerful performance, improved thermals over its predecessor, excellent RAM and storage configuration, Wi-Fi 6, good array of ports, one of the best keyboards on a laptop with per-key RGB lighting, 144Hz refresh rate with options for a 300Hz refresh rate, and a useful Alienware software suite in a portable, yet attractive body.

Scheda grafica per laptop high-end basata sul chip TU106 con 2.304 shaders e 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM. Rispetto alla variante desktop, la GPU ha un clock inferiore.
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.

Un processore hexa-core ad alte prestazioni progettato per i computer portatili più spessi con spazio per migliori termiche. Il processore Comet Lake-H è prodotto sul processo Intel di terza generazione a 14 nm e dispone della iGPU UHD Graphics 630 con clock da 350 MHz a 1.150 MHz. I core della CPU funzionano a 2.6 GHz (velocità di clock di base) con boosting fino a 5 GHz e la probabile frequenza Boost all-core è di 4.3 GHz. Il supporto Hyper-Threading è abilitato, permettendo a due thread di funzionare simultaneamente su ogni core.

Alienware: Alienware è stata fondata negli Stati Uniti nel 1996. La sede europea si trova in Irlanda. Alienware fa parte del gruppo Dell dal 2006. La gamma di prodotti si concentra principalmente su laptop e desktop da gioco, sviluppati e prodotti da Dell. Il marchio è un design leggermente futuristico con un alieno come logo.
