Those who can't get themselves an M17-R3 will no doubt go for a model like the Asus G74SX, which is less powerful but a lot more affordable.

The last incarnation of the Alienware M17x was dogged by feeble battery life and a high price. 5 hours of battery life under moderate usage, thanks in part to the said switchable graphics, was fine for a notebook with such high specs. To sum up, an extremely handsome notebook with stunning performance.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M: Due schede GeForce GTX 580M (GF114 Fermi) in modalità SLI. A causa dell'utilizzo massimo di energia di 2x 100 Watt di entrambe le schede MXM, la GTX580M SLI può essere utilizzata solo su portatili molto grandi.
Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.
