Se pensate in ottica portabilità e produttività si tratta a mio avviso di una buona scelta, tra le più appetibili in rapporto qualità/prezzo. La pecca, come già evidenziato, è la mancanza di materiali raffinati e una costruzione più ricercata, ma per quello c'è Swift 7, qui si va dritti al sodo e con un design apprezzabile e moderno. Mi spiace solo che non possa portarlo con me al CES 2017 di Las Vegas dei prossimi giorni, mi avrebbe fatto comodo un display più ampio e maggiore capacità di elaborazione grafica.

The Acer Swift 5 is one of those rare beasts that perfectly straddles the line between budget and premium. For less than £624 exc VAT, the whole thing screams value for money. You get the performance, portability and battery life you would normally expect from a £1,000+ machine, and the fact that Acer has chosen to squeeze a larger screen into a frame not much bigger than that of a 13.3in laptop makes it really feel like you're getting the most for your cash.

The Acer Switch 5 is a great all-rounder laptop for those who want high-end flavour without a price that’ll make you wince. While this isn’t the best-looking premium laptop around, the Switch 5 is also cheaper than just about all of them, by several hundred pounds in some cases. If you don’t hate the look and don’t mind a plastic trackpad, there’s little reason to delay. The screen is very good for the price, build quality is solid, performance is comparable to much more expensive laptops and there are even some advanced extras like a narrow screen surround. Acer has pulled out another great laptop deal.

There's nothing eye-catching or outstanding about its design, but it provides a good all-round combination of performance, portability, and battery life at a very competitive price, and will make a good travelling laptop for business users who don't want to pay premium ultrabook prices.
