L’Acer Aspire One 721 è un netbook piccolo e compatto, da portare sempre con sé e dotato di specifiche tecniche interessanti. Da sottolineare, in particolare, la porta HDMI, il supporto alla rete 3G, con tecnologia HSDPA e HSUPA, il Bluetooth di nuova versione e un processore a basso consumo. Buona anche l’autono.

While it might struggle with more complicated tasks, the solid build quality of the Acer Aspire One 721, plus its thin and light design and low price, make this a good choice as a basic study and work laptop. If you're after a more powerful machine for handling more complicated tasks, then the Lenovo G560 is the better choice.

The Acer Aspire One 721 isn't the fastest 11.6 inch laptop I've tested. It doesn't have the best graphics performance. And it doesn't have the longest battery life. But it's among the best performing laptops I've tested in its class, which is saying a lot since this machine is so much cheaper than the competition.

As is often the case with products that seem to bridge gaps between existing product lines, the AO721's biggest weakness is that it doesn't quite know what it wants to be. There are manufacturers, after all, who market similarly sized 11.6-inch systems as ultraportable notebooks rather than netbooks. In fact, Acer sells several. So where exactly is the line drawn?

Though, if we had to choose we'd go with the 721 -- for $80 more than the 521 you get more than just a secondary machine with its wider screen and keyboard. Of course, if you consistently demand more than four hours of battery life you'll want to go with an Intel ULV laptop, but most of them cost north of $700. And well, that's exactly what AMD's going for -- Acer now has two incredibly affordable and portable laptops that pack more performance than most netbooks and budget ultraportables on the market.

ATI Radeon HD 4225:

Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.

K125: Lento processore single core di fascia bassa per portatili piccoli e leggeri. Ma comunque più veloce rispetto ai sistemi Atom based da 1.6 Ghz.
