EN→ITThe Samsung R530 laptop is affordable. As such, it’s no metal-clad Apple MacBook Pro beater, but then again it doesn’t try to be. It’s well designed, well made and has a price tag of around £500. If you’re in the market for such a machine you should stick the Samsung R530 on your shopping list. A great all-rounder at an impressive price. Could be more compact though.

The R530 is that laptop's smaller cousin, sporting the same distinctive red lid, but with a 15.6-inch display and some less powerful hardware inside. The 15.6-inch Samsung R530 offers a good design and build quality but other laptops offer better performance for a similar price. Unless you're ultra-keen on the design, we'd advise shopping around before splashing out.

EN→ITOverall, the Samsung R530-Red is a fairly typical budget class system that doesn't really have any features that make it stand out from similarly priced laptops. In fact, it uses an older Core 2 Duo processor rather than the newer Core i3 that puts it at a disadvantage performance wise. The keyboard is one bright spot on this colorful laptop although the trackpad needs some work.

Samsung: Il Gruppo Samsung si compone di vari settori di business a livello internazionale, tutti sviluppati sotto il marchio Samsung in Corea del Sud. In Coreano la parola Samsung significa "tre stelle". Il marchio Samsung è uno dei più importanti brands in Corea del Sud. Samsung è un produttore internazionale di notebook di medie dimensioni stando ai dati di mercato ed alle recensioni.
La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500M: Il core grafico dell'Intel GL40 e della GS40 sfrutta una GMA 4500MHD con un clock inferiore (400 contro 533 MHz). A causa della velocità inferiore del core, non c'è un supporto completo Blu-Ray Logo e le prestazioni di gioco sono leggermente inferiori.
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: Scheda grafica intregrata basata sul chipset GM45 (Montevina). Più performante rispetto alla vecchia GMA X3100 grazie ha due shader in più ed ad un clock più elevato. Rimane, comunque, non consigliata per i giocatori più incalliti. Il processore video integrato è capace di codificare video HD (AVC/VC-2/MPEG2). Ad esempio permette la riproduzione di video HD compatibile con i requisiti del logo Blu-Ray, con il supporto nativo per unità Blu-Ray.

Intel Pentium Dual Core: Un ritorno del nome Pentium, sebbene sia un core Yonah. In fatti, è un processore dual Core con un ottimo rapporto prestazioni consumi.
T4400: CPU di fascia medio bassa dual core con 1 MB di level 2 cache e senza virtualization technology. Rispetto alla linea Core 2 Duo, sono disattivati alcuni meccanismi di risparmio energetico.
T4500: CPU di fascia medio bassa dual core con 1 MB di level 2 cache e senza virtualization technology. Rispetto alla linea Core 2 Duo, sono disattivati alcuni meccanismi di risparmio energetico.
Intel Core 2 Duo: Questo è il successore del Core Duo e del Core Solo con una pipeline più lunga ed il 5-20% di velocità in più senza avere maggiore consumo di energia. Come aggiunta al design del Core Duo esiste un quarto decoder, una unità amplificata SSE ed una unità logica aritmetica (ALU) addizionale. Il Core 2 Duo per portatili è identico al processore per desktop Core 2 Duo ma il processore per portatili lavora con un voltaggio inferiore (0.95 a 1188 Volt) ed un Frontside bus clock inferiore (1066 vs 667 MHz). Le prestazioni di portatili con clock equivalenti sono inferiori del 20-25% rispetto ai PCs Desktop a causa del Frontside bus clock inferiore e agli hard disks più lenti.
T6600: Processore dual core Core 2 di fascia base con una piccola level 2 cache di 2MB senza funzioni di virtualizzazione.
Intel Celeron Dual-Core: La famiglia Intel Celeron Dual-Core consiste in CPUs dual core per portatili economici. Rispetto alla famiglia Celeron M single core il principale vantaggio (oltre al secondo core) è la funzione Enhanced Speedstep, che consente il downclock della CPU del notebook in modalità di riposo. Di conseguenza il consumo di energia può essere ridotto notevolmente. Rispetto ai processori Core (2) Duo o Pentium Dual-Core, il Celeron Cual-Core ha molto meno L2 Cache il che comporta prestazioni per clock inferiori.
T3100: CPU dual core di categoria inferiore con un clock lento con funzioni 64 Bit abilitate. Poiché la T3100 non ha Speedstep ed altre funzioni di risparmio energetico. il consumo di energia è superiore rispetto alle Core 2 Duo / Pentium con un clock simile.
15.6: La variante di display da 15 pollici rientra tra lo standard ed è utilizzata da più della metà di tutti i portatili. I display da 15.4 pollici in 16:10 sono lo standard per i portatili. Attualmente, sempre più appaiono i displays 16:9 da 15.6 pollici. Lo svantaggio è che la lettura di testi è estenuante per gli occhi. Risoluzioni elevate difficilmente potranno essere utilizzate.
