EN→ITWith the TimelineX 1830T, Acer continues its line of powerful and small ultraportables. This machine looks good and offers excellent performance and nearly 6 hours of endurance. However, $699 is nothing to sneeze at. Those on a budget will likely prefer the $599 Core i3 version of the TimelineX (1830T-3505). Or you may gravitate towards an even cheaper big-screen netbook like the $499 Asus Eee PC 1201PN, which has comparable graphics performance but less battery life and processing power. Still, the 1830T offers the best combination yet of portability and power in an 11.6-inch design.

U5400: CPU dual core di fascia bassa della serie Arrandale. Non supporta il Turbo Boost (per la CPU), l'Hyperthreading, la Virtualizzazione e l'AES. A causa della bassa velocità clock, le prestazioni sono sufficienti solo per le applicazioni meno pesanti.
Intel Core i5:
520UM: Il Core i5-520UM è un processore energeticamente efficiente a voltaggio ultra low per portatili. Utilizzando il Turbo Boost può arrivare fino a 1.86 GHz. razie all'Hyperthreading, 4 threads possono essere processati contemporaneamente. Nel pacchetto sono inclusi una scheda grafica integrata (Intel HD Graphics da 166-500 MHz) ed un controller di memoria DDR3-800. Rispetto al Core i7-620UM, la 520UM offre meno Level 3 Cache ed un Turbo Boost con un clock rate più lento.
430UM: Il Core i5-430UM è un processore a risparmio energetico ultra low voltage per portatili. Utilizzando il Turbo Boost può portare il clock fino a 1.7 GHz. Grazie all'Hyperthreading, possono essere processati contemporaneamente 4 threads. Le AES, VT-d e Trusted Execution sono disattivate sul 430UM. Una scheda grafica integrata (Intel HD Graphics da 166-500 MHz) ed un controller di memoria DDR3-800 sono inclusi nel pacchetto.
470UM: Il Core i5-430UM è un processore ultra low voltage a risparmio energetico per portatili. Utilizzando il Turbo Boost può portare il clock fino a 1.83 GHz. Grazie all'Hyperthreading, 4 threads possono essere processati simultaneamente. Sul 470um le funzioni AES, VT-d e Trusted Execution sono disattivate. Nel pacchetto sono incluse anche una scheda grafica integrata (Intel HD Graphics da 166-500 MHz) ed un controller di memoria DDR3-800.

680UM: Il Core i7-680UM è un processore ultra low voltage energeticamente efficiente per portatili. Utilizzando il Turbo Boost può avere un clock fino a 2.5 GHz. Grazie all'Hyperthreading, 4 threads possono essere processati simultaneamente. Una scheda grafica integrata (Intel HD Graphics da 166-500 MHz) ed un controller di memoria DDR3-800 sono incluse nel pacchetto.
Intel Core i3:
330M: La Core i3-330M è una 350M con un clock inferiore e di conseguenza manca della feature Turbo Boost ed ha un clock con un massimo di 2.13 GHz. Grazie all'Hyperthreading, possono essere processati 4 threads contemporaneamente. Nel pacchetto sono inclusi anche una scheda grafica integrata (GMA HD 3150) ed un controller di memoria DDR3.

Questo subnotebook è uno dei più leggeri di tutti i portatili e può essere trasportato con estrema semplicità. Difficilmente si trovano altri modelli in questa fascia di peso.
