Lo Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 mi ha stupito per la su bellezza estetica, la potenza dell’hardware, il comprato foto e video nonché il display; un po’ delicato, infatti viene fornito con una cover (volutamente non l’ho detto nella parte dell’unboxing) per ovviare al posteriore in ceramica che è bellissimo ma fragile e lascia molte impronte. Un terminale che personalmente consiglio, specialmente vedendo il suo prezzo che si aggira sui 440€ circa, e che non ha nulla da che invidiare agli altri top gamma, anzi…

In conclusione devo promuovere il nuovo Mi Mix 3, partendo dall’eleganza e ricercatezza del design fino alla solidità di un software fluido e ben costruito. Ottima autonomia e fotocamera buona, anche se l’eccessivo divario tra l’app GCam e il software stock mi ha fatto storcere non poco il naso. Lo slider si pone come valida alternativa al notch e al foro nel display, un sistema comodo in molte situazioni ma che costringe ad alcuni compromessi in termini di peso e spessore.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 è quindi un prodotto interessante, un flagship con tutte le qualità tipiche di questi ultimi proposto ad un prezzo ben inferiore. Quanto? Se lo acquistiamo nei canali ufficiali (quindi Mi Store) il prezzo è di 549€ per la versione con 6 GB di RAM e 128 GB di storage, mentre GearBest lo propone a circa 485€, anche se i tempi di spedizione diventano ovviamente più lunghi.

Costa, versione Italia 6/128, 549 euro. Ma spesso sul sito Mi.Com lo trovate in offerta a 499. Attorno i 450 import ma, vista la differenza non enorme, a questo giro consiglio l'ufficiale Italia. Lo slider non lo useremo ma per lo sblocco, troppo duro per l'uso al volo, per lo sblocco quotidiano. Però bella la soluzione per nascondere la camera anteriore. Avrei preferito un po' di autonomia in più ma il meccanismo dello scorrimento ruba spazio ed appesantisce. Nel complesso mi è piaciuto ma non lo ritengo un best buy.

Still, I can’t recommend a phone that makes me feel less connected to the people in my life. Even after spending quite a bit of time in the settings making sure that there were zero settings stopping me from getting my notifications, the issues persisted. I even tried factory resetting and still had issues. If Xiaomi ever figures out software or gives users the option of using pure Android over its skin, I’ll be the first in line for its devices. The last couple of years have been exciting for mobile photography, as manufacturers have developed multiple sensors and lenses for their rear cameras, and combined that hardware with advanced signal processing to maximize imaging possibilities. Xiaomi is one of the first to apply this approach to the front camera, and the benefits are clear, with the Mi MIX 3 delivering excellent results for flash and bokeh, thanks to the built-in selfie light and depth-sensing second sensor. Other attributes such as face exposure, color, and detail are also impressive, and thanks to generally good skin tone rendering, the Mi MIX 3 ranks high in our database of front camera image quality. There are things it can improve, of course, most notably the fact that both focus and depth of field are too limited. Denoising and dynamic range could be better as well, but given its many pluses, along with good results when shooting video, it’s clear that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 is a solid choice for the selfie enthusiast.
