Given this, the T135 really scored pretty well and held its own in most respects. During our tests, the T135 remained cool and quiet and performance was very acceptable for the price of the machine.

At this point the CULV market isn’t packed, but there are some other strong players, including systems from MSI, HP, Lenovo, and Asus that are appealing. Amongst these the T135 mostly stands out for it’s pricing, but this comes along with some troublesome issues such as the weak speakers and floppy hinges. In total these might have consumers wishing they had spent a bit more. Even so, it’s a good computer at a nice price so it’s worth investigating if you need portability on a budget.

With battery life lasting over 8 hours, this ultra-portable has what it takes to stay working over a long flight or during a day of classes. The design was very attractive, and offered in multiple color schemes to best match your personality. Build quality was very good, with only one area that flexed and creaked when pressed. The only real downsides to this notebook are its laggy touchpad which seems to be driver related, and the hard drive bay secured with Torx screws

For slightly less money than many of its competitors, it offers better performance and style. The T135 isn’t perfect, however; we’re not crazy about the keyboard and touchpad, and while the battery life is long, other ULV notebooks last even longer. Overall, we prefer the ASUS UL30A because it lasts almost 10 hours on a charge, and offers better ergonomics and 180GB of more storage space for even less money ($679 street price). Nevertheless, the T135 is a strong choice for people looking for an inexpensive ultraportable.

Like all other CULV-equipped laptops, the Toshiba Satellite T135-S1300 ($600 street) runs on a low-powered processor and measures less than an inch thick. The Toshiba Satellite T135-S1300 is a well designed, inexpensive ultraportable that uses the single-core CULV processor and comes up a bit short in performance.

While we have already reviewed two different versions of Toshiba's Windows 7 entry to the thin-and-light laptop landscape, we were pleasantly surprised by this retail-only configuration. This is not uncommon; many of the configurations you see in stores are subtle tweaks of models that manufacturers sell online, trading flexibility for a better price. For a budget Windows 7 thin-and-light that won't need to recharge often, you could do a lot worse than the Toshiba Satellite T135-S1309.

Toshiba: Toshiba Corporation è un conglomerato o gruppo tecnologico giapponese. L'azienda è stata fondata nel 1939 e nel 1978 Toshiba è diventata il nome ufficiale dell'azienda. I prodotti e i servizi dell'azienda includono energia, sistemi di infrastrutture industriali e sociali, ascensori e scale mobili, componenti elettronici, semiconduttori, dischi rigidi, stampanti, batterie, illuminazione, logistica e tecnologia dell'informazione. Toshiba è stato uno dei maggiori produttori di personal computer, elettronica di consumo, elettrodomestici e apparecchiature mediche.
Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: Scheda grafica intregrata basata sul chipset GM45 (Montevina). Più performante rispetto alla vecchia GMA X3100 grazie ha due shader in più ed ad un clock più elevato. Rimane, comunque, non consigliata per i giocatori più incalliti. Il processore video integrato è capace di codificare video HD (AVC/VC-2/MPEG2). Ad esempio permette la riproduzione di video HD compatibile con i requisiti del logo Blu-Ray, con il supporto nativo per unità Blu-Ray.
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500M: Il core grafico dell'Intel GL40 e della GS40 sfrutta una GMA 4500MHD con un clock inferiore (400 contro 533 MHz). A causa della velocità inferiore del core, non c'è un supporto completo Blu-Ray Logo e le prestazioni di gioco sono leggermente inferiori.

Intel Pentium Dual Core: Un ritorno del nome Pentium, sebbene sia un core Yonah. In fatti, è un processore dual Core con un ottimo rapporto prestazioni consumi.
SU4100: Processore dual core di fascia bassa per subnotebooks sottili e leggeri. A causa del nome Pentium, la CPU potrebbe avere meno funzioni di risparmio energetico rispetto ai processori Core 2 Duo.
Intel Pentium:
SU2700: CPU Single Core di fascia bassa con meno livelli di risparmio energetico rispetto alla linea Core ed a causa del clock rate limitato (1.3 GHz) non è molto veloce. Saldata direttamente alla scheda madre e di conseguenza per portatili sottili e leggeri (CULV class).
