EN→IT Archive.org versionWith its sleek lines and alluring finish, the Samsung Series 7 Slate 700T is the most attractive Windows 7 tablet going. It’s also the most powerful, and the one with the best accessories thanks to its included Wacom stylus, media dock and wireless keyboard. Unfortunately, it suffers from some build quality issues, its otherwise gorgeous PLS screen doesn’t have the ideal aspect ratio for a tablet, and despite Samsung’s enhancements, Windows still isn’t a finger-friendly OS. However, if you need the productivity only Microsoft’s system can provide, or if you’re a designer/artist looking for a mobile digital solution, it’s the best option currently available.

Hopefully, we'll hear more news about forthcoming low-power chips from Intel's Developers Forum this week, and Intel will be able to ramp up its game to make fast, computer-like tablets like the 700T viable when Windows 8 is ready to launch. And of course, the past three complaints may be solved outright by the use of ARM chips inside a Windows 8 tablet. But as it stands today in the Samsung 700T preview unit, Windows 8 is a severe disappointment compared with the quiet, 10 hours (roughly) you can get with a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 or an Apple iPad 2.

Intel HD Graphics 3000: 3 imminenti (Q1 2011) schede grafiche integrate nel processore Intel Sandy Bridge (Core ix-2xxx). La 3000 / 200 è la versione più veloce internamente chiamata GT2 con 12 Execution Units (EUs).
Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.
