It’s hard to fault a laptop that provides useful battery life, if you can find it for £600. The Chronos provides a good combination of performance and features for that price, and is a good option if you need an affordable workhorse laptop that can last most of a working day.

Samsung’s Series 9 range is unashamedly expensive, and the 900X4C is no exception: at £1,200, you’re paying a premium for a laptop that is pretty, portable and long-lasting. But while it’s probably the loveliest-looking 15in laptop on the market, it offers little that the 13in Asus Zenbook UX31E doesn’t serve up for substantially less money. Those who can afford it won’t be disappointed, but at this price this fine laptop falls tantalisingly short.

So, will this notebook take over from the Lenovo T420s? So far the omens are looking positive: Better display; slim profile and less weight (particularly when the PSU is included); longer battery time and a feeling of durability. Adequate storage is the current bottleneck. I've already done one upgrade and can't wait for 512GB mSATA SSDs to arrive. And the final good news is that although the NP900X4C is wider than the T420s, its slender profile means that it will slip into the same bags.

Intel HD Graphics 4000: Processore grafico high end tra i modelli Ivy Bridge. Offre una differente velocità clock nei diversi modelli di CPU (da ULV a desktop quad core) e di conseguenza con prestazioni variabili.

La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).
