Testiamo uno dei portatili gamng più economici che si possono trovare con una scheda grafica GeForce RTX 3060 per vedere dove sono stati fatti i tagli, se ce ne sono. MSI sta nascondendo qualcosa sotto il prezzo economico?

Questo MSI GF65 Thin è un portatile che cerca di bilanciare potenza e costo grazie all’utilizzo di ottimi componenti, ma senza esagerare. La CPU Intel e la GPU di NVIDIA offrono performance di tutto rispetto, in grado di gestire senza problemi ogni applicativo software o gioco. Soprattutto nel gaming la RTX 3060 si comporta bene, nonostante sia limitata nella potenza complessiva da un TGP ridotto rispetto ai modelli superiori. Trarre un giudizio sulla nuova architettura di NVIDIA in campo notebook da un solo laptop non ha senso, ci sono troppe varianti, nei prossimi mesi proveremo più modelli di GPU, grazie al quale potersi fare un’idea più ampia sulla nuova lineup. Nel frattempo questo MSI GF65 Thin sarà disponibile a un prezzo di 1799€ a partire dalla metà di marzo.

EN→ITIn the end, MSI GF65 Thin is a decent gaming machine. It's nicely portable, easy on the eye, and more than capable of handling modern games with decent frame-rates. The screen is well balanced, the speakers are good enough to block out most fan noise, and it doesn't get too hot and bothered under pressure (unless you're a lap gamer). It's one of the better thin gaming laptops we've tested, especially when you consider the specification included at this price point.

Its mediocre display, last-gen 10th gen Intel CPU, plastic build quality, and sub-par battery life could be a dealbreaker to many. Additionally, at its price range, you can get something like the Asus TUF Dash F15 (2021) which is powered by the newer 11th gen processor—while also bringing a bigger battery and a relatively premium build quality.

EN→ITThe MSI GF65 Thin is certainly one of the most impressive RTX 3060 gaming laptops we’ve reviewed to date. The laptop meets or outclasses its most performant competitors and undoubtedly trounces them all in terms of design and performance. That said, we wish a few more niceties given the price, like USB-C support for Thunderbolt, DisplayPort, or Power Delivery; and the laptop delivers below-par CPU and GPU performance unless Cooler Boost is activated. All told, for the price, the MSI GF65 Thin 10UE-014UK is one of the best gaming laptops you can buy today. While you’ll have to do with some compromises in audio, and there’s no biometric login available yet, those are small conceits to make for an otherwise stellar laptop you can confidently take into work, college or your next gaming session.

The chassis is a fingerprint magnet, fan noise is really quite bothersome, battery life is poor, and the 144Hz display, while fast, is decidedly average in most other metrics. There may also be question marks surrounding long-term performance; while RTX 3060 Laptop ought to be a fine fit for 1080p gameplay, MSI's restrained 75W implementation is at the lower end of the scale and may struggle with tomorrow's more demanding titles.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU: Scheda grafica per laptop di fascia alta basata sul chip Ampere GA106 con 3072 core. Disponibile in diverse versioni con un TDP da 60 a 115 Watt.
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.

Un processore hexa-core ad alte prestazioni progettato per i computer portatili più spessi con spazio per migliori termiche. Il processore Comet Lake-H è prodotto sul processo Intel di terza generazione a 14 nm e dispone della iGPU UHD Graphics 630 con clock da 350 MHz a 1.150 MHz. I core della CPU funzionano a 2.6 GHz (velocità di clock di base) con boosting fino a 5 GHz e la probabile frequenza Boost all-core è di 4.3 GHz. Il supporto Hyper-Threading è abilitato, permettendo a due thread di funzionare simultaneamente su ogni core.
