EN→IT Archive.org versionThis MSI GE66 Raider is one of the best-balanced performance laptops we've tested in years. It's a full-size 15-inch computer, so not as portable as some other options, but compensates by excellently balancing the performance, thermals, and noise-levels in pretty much every activity, from casual use to demanding workloads and games. On top of that, MSI greatly improved on the build quality from the previous generation, added a larger battery inside, and didn't compromise on any of the important aspects, including inputs, screen choices, or the IO. They did cut corners with the poor audio implementation, though.

From its powerful specs, stunning 240Hz display and great overall gaming performance, there was much to love about the gaming laptop. However, below standard speakers and battery life hurt the already outdated design. For its follow-up, the GE66 Raider 10SGS, there are three main enhancements that leave the GE65 in the dust. Gaming performance is fairly top-notch, the 15.6 inch FHD screen running at 300Hz is gorgeous and the battery improvements are significant.

Archive.org versionThe Raider provides a nice balance between portability, slimness, price and performance. It’s not as skinny as the MSI GS66 Stealth so there’s more room for cooling and faster GPUs. It’s available with a 6 core i7 and an 8 core i9 overclockable processor and your choice of NVIDIA RTX 2070, RTX 2070 Super and RTX 2080 Super Max-Q graphics. The laptop has 2 RAM slots, 2 M.2 NVMe SSD slots, a SteelSeries per key RGB backlit keyboard and a new programmable light bar on the front edge.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q:
Scheda grafica per laptop di fascia alta basata sul chip TU104 con 3.072 shader. Funziona a velocità di clock ridotte rispetto a un laptop RTX 2080 Super per ottenere un consumo energetico molto più basso. Il TGP è specificato tra 80 e 90 Watt con diverse velocità di clock.
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.

i9-10980HK:
Processore basato sull'architettura Comet Lake per computer portatili grandi e pesanti. Integra otto core del processore con clock a 3.1 - 5 GHz che supportano HyperThreading. Prodotto in un processo migliorato a 14nm (14nm++). Al momento dell'annuncio, l'i9-10980HK è la più veloce CPU Comet Lake-H e la più veloce CPU per laptop sul mercato. Grazie al moltiplicatore libero, la CPU può anche essere facilmente overcloccata (ma potrebbe non avere molto headroom).
