Quanto costa? Il prezzo della mia configurazione, con i tagli di RAM ed SSD di cui abbiamo parlato è di 2900 euro. Sul sito MSI potete vedere anche tutte le altre configurazioni. Non sono pochi, si tratta di tanti soldi, ma posso dire che all’interno del panorama portatili mi viene difficile trovare alternative con queste prestazioni, soprattutto lato grafico.

MSI Creator Z16 è un laptop votato alla produttività. Il suo grande e bello schermo è il fulcro di tutto: c'è spazio per del vero multitasking, come raramente ne potete fare su un portatile, le prestazioni ci sono e sono convincenti: lo potete stressare a lungo quanto volete. E terminato di lavorare potrete anche giocarci o guardare un bel film: a voi la scelta. Peccato che tastiera e touchpad non siano all'altezza della cura generale, e che comunque il prezzo sia ancora così elevato da renderlo un portatile per pochi piuttosto che per molti.

Si tratta di cifre indubbiamente importanti, e difficilmente il bundle con il cavatappi Alessi offerto da MSI mi farà cambiare idea. Pur con tutti i pregi di questa soluzione e i vantaggi che può portare un notebook di questo genere in termini di produttività il prezzo è alto. Per quanto mi sia piaciuto e non avrei mai voluto restituirlo ammetto che consigliare questo Creator Z16 ad oltre 3.000 euro è comunque difficile. Resta un ottimo prodotto, eccellente sotto alcuni punti di vista, ma che comunque acquisterei soltanto tra qualche tempo e con un buono sconto.

The MSI Creator Z16 is a competent content creator mobile workstation, that would be a real prosumer powerhouse if MSI had given you options of an Nvidia RTX 3070 or 3080, instead of just the middle-tier 3060. That said, the Z16 easily handled every photo and video editing task I threw at it. With its gorgeous, QHD touch display, powerful Intel Core i9-11900H CPU, and large speedy 2TB SSD, the GPU isn’t really a dealbreaker. There’s so much to like about this elegant, punchy performer, provided you can look past the slightly steep pricing. But if you’re a content creator looking for a MacBook Pro alternative, you’ll end up saving some money in comparison to a similarly specced Apple.

This is the first laptop we’ve reviewed which features the Intel Core i9-11900H and its performance is impressive. Placing such a processor inside a laptop which has more of a focus on content creation is a good move by MSI, especially when it’s combined with 32GB DDR4. Adding in dual Thunderbolt 4 ports is something that users looking at this laptop will expect. Not only can these ports allow for fast data transfers to compatible devices, but they also carry a video signal – giving the option to output to a dedicated display, should you require it. Pricing for Creator Z16 sees it hit the shelves at: GBP £2500 | USD $2599 | AUD $3699. It also arrives with a decent 2 year warranty.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU: Scheda grafica per laptop di fascia alta basata sul chip Ampere GA106 con 3072 core. Disponibile in diverse versioni con un TDP da 60 a 115 Watt.

Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
