EN→IT Archive.org versionWhile most powerhouse gaming laptops look the part, it’s nice that the Lenovo Legion Y740 doesn’t and not only for design, but also performance, this is currently one of my favourite gaming laptops. It’s not perfect, but it is where it counts so if you don’t care about battery life or plan on using the camera for streaming, this laptop is an absolute beast while remaining on the sleeker side in the looks department. Take those out and you’re looking at a 9.5/10 instead of the overall 8.8 it received taking those into account.

Nvidia’s pushing ray tracing, but the content’s not really there to make good on it yet, and it leaves cards like the RTX 2070 Max-Q in a strange spot. Sure, the RTX generation is theoretically better, but only in specific instances. Ray tracing is years away from mattering much to the average user. In traditional benchmarks, the RTX 2070 Max-Q is about on a par with its predecessor—or worse, if you compare the RTX 2070’s Max-Q version to a full-size GTX 1070.

Scheda grafica per laptop di fascia alta basata sul chip TU106 con 2.304 shaders e 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM. Offre velocit‡ di clock ridotte per ottenere un consumo energetico molto pi˘ basso.
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
