Though the Lenovo G40-30's midnight-black appearance makes it blend well in corporate and other professional environments, it's a subpar performer. The G40 might be more attractive if it were a unique entry, but it's just another member of a growing pack of ultra-affordable Windows notebooks.

With the Lenovo G40, you get a capable 14-inch desktop-replacement laptop that will handle your basic home productivity workload without putting much of a dent in your budget. It's thin and light enough to shuttle around the house or office and will last the better part of a working day between charges, but its miserly memory configuration means you'll have to be patient while it struggles to complete multimedia tasks. Additionally, its somewhat small hard drive will likely fill up quickly if you use it to store lots of multimedia content.

Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.
