We started this review thinking that we’re testing one of the best models from the low range and we’re finishing it with the same thought. None of the components of Honor Holly will show you something extraordinary, but at the same time each and every one of them will deliver exactly what you want to see from such an affordable device. Of course, the smartphone is so lucrative mainly because of its price, but it’s hard to find a phone with similar capabilities from this price range today. We have to mention the higher temperature near the camera area after heavy loads as a downside. We will let you decide whether this issue can be ignored or not.

Overall the Honor Holly was a pretty good phone, there isn’t anything massively wrong with the phone, especially for the price of £89. At that price it is firmly in the Moto G and low end Lumia market and I feel it competes admirably. Yes the inclusion of a better display and 4G would have basically made a reasonable phone into something really rather good, it would have also bumped the price up to “the wrong side of £100”.

We can say that we were pleasantly surprised by the device with its elegant design, thin body and glass back, as well as its capabilities. Speaking of capabilities, we are not only talking hardware here. Yes, there is an octa-core Kirin 925 processor which showed great results in our tests, but when it comes to software, we’re sure that you’ll find a lot functionality to play with. The rich settings menu, the useful pre-installed apps and the overall appearance of the interface very quickly made us forget about the Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS. As we expected, the 3600 mAh battery offered great durability. And, of course, we can’t forget the dual camera that offers highly detailed photos and some very interesting modes. We were also charmed by the display, which not only provided high resolution, brightness and contrast, but also won’t cause eye-fatigue because it doesn’t emit pulse-width modulation, and bloats with 100% sRGB coverage.

Overall for the price the Honor 6+ is a cracking phone, with a few caveats though, all falling under the “you get what you pay for” moniker. The short version is this, the hardware is good, the build and design is good, the camera is amazing and the software is a little lacking. As I mentioned earlier Honor really need to makeup for the lack of Lollipop and the huge upcoming awkward situation regarding Android M, they need to push Lollipop out sharpish and vow to never release a phone with out of date software ever again.

Il Magic è uno smartphone di successo tirato fuori dalla casa cinese. Honor ha infatti mostrato la giusta dose di coraggio utile per poter gareggiare anche con gli smartphone di fascia più alta. Il terminale possiede molte qualità: un design seducente, un display AMOLED e un formato compatto da non sottovalutare. Il suo più grande difetto è il fatto di non essere commercializzato al di fuori della terra del drago.

Giudizio del team : avrete notato dalle foto su che questo Huawei Honor Magic presenta un corpo arrotondato che sinceramente a noi non piace molto ma che forse ad alcuni interesserà essendo diverso dai soliti corpi piatti nei lati. Al di là comunque del suo aspetto estetico e del suo peso che non è indifferente, non possiamo che parlare bene di questo smartphone e consigliarne l'acquisto essendo Huawei cresciuta molto nel settore a cui sta donando parecchi dispositivi di elevata efficienza e con caratteristiche hardware e software molto interessanti.

Difficilissimo da trovare, scorte bruciate nei primi giorni in Cina dov'è commercializzato. Effetto WOW assicurato, stupendo, ma il software rovina tutto. Non fraintendetemi, va benissimo, ma di magic alle nostre lattitudini ha ben poco. Non ha Play Store, è un mix tra android e ios che non mi è parso cosi produttivo e non tutto il menu è tradotto in italiano. Ma se volete fare i fighi al ristorante appoggiandolo sul tavolo, è il telefono che fa per voi, ammesso che sia ancora di moda!..

Queste schede grafiche per portatili non sono adatte al gaming. Anche se dovessero funzionare, ci sarebbero diversi errori grafici e un frame rate molto basso. Questi chips non sono affatto per i gamers! Applicazioni internet e da ufficio, invece non sono problematiche per queste GPUs.

Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.
