HP sta creando una nuova linea di laptop convertibili ispirati da macchine fotografiche antiche e orologi da polso. Il design unico nel suo genere in pelle è sia premium che classico, ma le sue dimensioni, peso e caratteristiche sono un po' limitate rispetto ad un moderno Ultrabook in metallo.

The addition of offering LTE adds another dimension, and coupled with the incredibly good battery life, really provides a fantastic computer for working on the go. The convertible nature provides a great writing surface as well, and HP offers a stylus for just that reason. HP offers a great amount of customization, with plenty of choices for specifications as well as a couple of color options. Pricing is high, as expected, but the base model is completely usable, offering 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, unlike some Ultrabooks that perhaps start with a lower price, but it only offers 4 GB / 128 GB and really isn’t very usable. The Spectre Folio isn’t inexpensive, and it isn’t the fastest notebook around, but the all-leather exterior makes a statement that no other machine on the market can match.

So integral is the leather folio to the professional convertible that HP have chosen to literally glue beef-skin to its latest 2-in-1. And while this may mean HP’s latest device has to endure being called names like the MeatBook, gluing your folio case to the laptop isn’t always as bad as it seems.

It’s available with up to 16GB RAM, has a fast NVMe SSD, full HD and 4K display options, a backlit keyboard and pen + touch support (pen included). 4G LTE is optional. It competes with HP’s own Spectre x360 13”, the Microsoft Surface Pro 6 and the Lenovo Yoga C930.
