Nei confronti dei prodotti più costosi di Samsung e Huawei, Zenfone 5z deve cedere il passo nei dettagli e anche rispetto, ad esempio, ad OnePlus 6 la sensazione è di avere fra le mani un prodotto leggermente meno curato. Tuttavia ASUS si è migliorata tantissimo quest'anno, sia sul piano software che sul piano dei materiali e delle scelte di design, e offre una line-up estremamente interessante nelle fasce di mercato medio-alte. Chi vuole le prestazioni pure può andare a colpo sicuro su Zenfone 5z, ma chi con lo smartphone gioca al massimo a Candy Crush Saga o a Pokémon Go, o non gioca affatto, può tranquillamente spendere 100€ in meno e acquistare lo Zenfone 5. Le differenze nell'uso quotidiano fra i due modelli sono veramente sottili.

Il prezzo è l'asso nella manica di questo 5Z. 499 euro di listino sembrano quasi pochi per questo smartphone che funziona davvero bene (100 euro in più per la versione 8/256). Rispetto al 5 molti meno bug e problemi. Non riesco a trovargli un vero e proprio difetto se non il design poco personale, la vibrazione zanzarosa, le notifiche che si nascondono dietro la tacca o lo sblocco con il volto non precisissimo. Ma prestazioni, autonomia al top, camera buona garantiscono un uso quotidiano molto soddisfacente. insomma entra di diritto nella mia top 10. Ora tocca confrontarlo con OnePlus 6.
