A multimedia PC par excellence, the Asus NX90 offers unheard of audio quality, a high performance configuration and good overall ease-of-use. Unfortunately its screen is particularly disappointing and some of the design choices suffer due to priority given to how the machine looks.

EN→IT Archive.org versionWhen I first saw the machine, it looked like an over-sized portable DVD player kept up-side-down. I didn't really like it, mainly because of the size-difference in the screen and chassis, and of course the all-glossy body. But, if you look at it this way, are you really going to use it as a “laptop”? This machine is more of an-all-one PC in the form factor of a laptop. And besides, when I used it, ran the benchmarks, played HD movies, it actually feels like a cinema on your desk (or lap). Also, as I type this review, it feels like typing on a regular desktop keyboard. So I'd say that, it gets a five on five in terms of functionality and performance. In terms of looks, you'll need to see for yourself to be double sure. We've received mixed opinions.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 335M: La GeForce GT 335M offre 72 shader cores (rispetto ai 48 della GT 330M) e si basa sul core GT215 (GTS 350M).
La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).

720QM: Il Core i7-720QM è il Core i7 Quad più lento del 2009 ed ha un clock tra 1.6 e 2.8 GHz (grazie al Turbo Mode). Di conseguenza, il processore combina i vantaggi delle veloci CPUs single core e delle lente CPUs quad-core. Rispetto alle più veloci CPUs Core i7, la 720QM ha solo 6MB di L3 Cache.
