Although the ASUS N43SL's ostentatious design will turn off some, Jay Chou's many fans may love the personal flourishes the superstar added to the laptop. Regardless, the $999 N43SL outperforms both the HP Envy 14 ($1,079) and Dell XPS 14z ($999) in both graphics and performance. Only its battery life is lacking. If you're an admiring fan of the artist, the N43SL offers top-of-the-line performance at a reasonable price.

Celebrity-endorsed notebooks have been dotting the consumer landscape in recent history. For example, HP did work with Vivienne Tam on a number of their netbook offerings since 2008. For our test model in question, it is apparent ASUS and Jay Chou have invested a great deal of effort into the JCSE's design, although there are little upgrades being made to the original N43SL's hardware.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M: Scheda grafica in dirittura d'arrivo, basata sullo stesso chip della GeForce GT 435M ma con una velocità clock leggermente superiore.

La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).
