Acer Swift 14 AI (SF14-61T) review – Impressive Performance in a Thin and Light Design

The Swift 14 AI (SF14-61T) is a successful combination of powerful hardware and good display. In our case, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 sustains around 3.30 GHz / 2.41 GHz for its Zen5 and Zen5c cores which is a respectable result for a light 14-incher. The device feels fast no matter the task. It’s even suitable for 3D rendering. Still, if you plan to use this laptop for such work, you can expect CPU temperatures around the 90°C mark. We are also pleasantly surprised by the fast SSD (WD PC SN5000S SDEQNSJ-1T00-1014). The AMD Radeon 890M performance is boosted by the LPDDR5x-7500MHz RAM that operates in a dual-channel mode. The iGPU scored 149 FPS in CS2 on Medium details and 63FPS in Gears 5, again, on Medium visual quality.

Acer Swift 14 AI (AMD) review: speed and battery life in equal strides

The Intel version of the Swift 14 AI has better battery life, in keeping with the primary focus of the Lunar Lake chipset. But, the AMD version is significantly faster and it still gets great battery life. For anyone who wants to split the difference, this version of the Swift 14 AI is a great choice. It’s well-built, reasonably attractive, and doesn’t have any major flaws that stand out against the competition. If you get it on sale, then it’s a solid choice among the 14-inch laptop competition. At its list price, it’s not quite as much of a bargain, but it’s still easy enough to recommend.

We have a perhaps stereotypical view of most Acer customers as non-tech-expert consumers rather than power users, so we're not surprised the Swift 14 AI AMD does everything but put a cereal- or detergent-style "Now with AI!" decal on the box. Those looking inside the box, however, will find exceptional processing power and webcam quality. The stiff, flat keyboard dampens the experience, and other 14-inch ultraportables, like the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED Touch, include prettier OLED screens, but this Acer should satisfy many.

AMD Radeon 880M: Una iGPU con architettura RDNA 3+ moderatamente potente che ha debuttato nel giugno 2024.
Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.

Ryzen AI 9 365: Un processore relativamente potente della famiglia Strix Point che ha debuttato nel giugno 2024. L'APU Ryzen AI serie 9 è dotata di 10 core CPU, dell'adattatore grafico Radeon 880M da 12 CU RDNA 3+ e del motore neurale XDNA 2 da 50 TOPS. Non c'è ancora il supporto di PCIe 5 e 6 dei core della CPU sono più lenti degli altri 4.
