A media card reader would have been a nice touch, but its absence on a gaming laptop like the Nitro 5 isn’t a deal-breaker.

In the Nitro 5’s case, you’ll have to settle for a mid-range GPU, a 60Hz display that (in our review model, at least) shows signs of screen bleed, and a fairly bulky and hefty design. That said, we still believe that Acer has managed to squeeze plenty of value out of this particular Nitro 5 configuration, which boasts excellent CPU performance, impressive battery life, and—if you don’t mind sacrificing such high-end niceties as ray tracing—solid 60fps-range visuals from popular AAA games.

But, if you are looking for a gaming laptop and are on a serious budget, the Nitro 5 delivers where it matters. It offers good performance, ships with just enough RAM and storage, and offers the upgradability that is lacking in almost all thin and light notebooks. At $669.99 USD, the Acer Nitro 5 is definitely a great value.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Mobile:
Scheda grafica dedicata di fascia media per computer portatili basata sulla GTX 1650 desktop e quindi sull'architettura Turing (chip TU117 in 12nm FFN) senza raytracing e Tensor cores.
Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.
