If we were sourcing the parts, we would have specified a better, slightly higher-res screen, a Core i3 CPU with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, and much better speakers and sound engineering. Of course, then it would be a $400 or $500 Chromebook. For $199, we’re happy to live with its shortcomings in order to be able to afford one (or even two) extra Internet devices around the house.

You might be giving up style, but in return you'll get a bigger screen and absurdly long battery life—while only paying $200. If design does matter to you or you'd like clearer visuals, however, you could shell out a little more for our Editors' Choice pick, the Acer Chromebook 14.

Intel HD Graphics 400 (Braswell):
Scheda grafica integrata nei processori della serie Intel Braswell (2016 Celeron). Si basa sull'architettura Broadwell (Intel Gen8) e supporta il DirectX 11.2. In base al processore offre 12 shader cores (EU) e varie velocità clock.
La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).
