L’Acer Switch Alpha 12 è davvero ottimo prodotto, dalle caratteristiche eccellenti, con un ottimo display, e una tastiera che fa della retroilluminazione il suo punto forte. Difetti particolari non ne abbiamo riscontrato, se non un po’ di calore (un po’ fastidioso solo in modalità tablet) nella parte posteriore destra e un’autonomia nella norma.

L'unico neo è forse la batteria a 2 celle ai polimeri di Litio che sotto pieno carico assicura 4 ore di autonomia ed al più 7 ore con un uso blando. La batteria non è removibile e quindi non può essere sostituita al volo con una seconda batteria carica, e comunque la ricarica completa richiede 4 ore. Se davvero avete bisogno di 8 ore e oltre di autonomia, potete però risolvere il problema acquistando una batteria portatile con interfaccia USB type-C.

Acer Switch Alpha 12 è tutt’altro che privo di difetti, ma non si tratta di gravi pecche bensì di aspetti spesso trascurabili che solo particolari esigenze, o un esperto, possono mettere in risalto. Nel complesso, si comporta molto bene in molte situazioni, risultando affidabile e pratico tanto alla scrivania quanto in movimento.

Sicuramente un prodotto riuscito, sia a livello ergonomia, sia a livello prestazioni. Sottotono l'autonomia ma il non avere ventole e quindi rumorosità, rende sopportabili alcune pecche tra cui il riscaldamento della parte posteriore. Peccato la tastiera non retroilluminata e la penna optional, non al 100% compatibile con Ink ma, sicuramente, arriveranno aggiornamenti....e poi l'alloggiamento è semplice ma efficace!

But just in case you're looking for alternatives and are willing to shell out more money, you can go for the HP Elite x2, which starts at a price of Rs 91,449.

A tablet that can actually replace your notebook

As Acer accurately advertised, the device is capable of handling more demanding tasks and the performance is on par with a normal 15-inch laptop. The LiquidLoop cooling system is excellent and withstood our extreme test quite well. Apart from raw performance, the device offers good multimedia experience too. The display covers almost all of the sRGB gamut, it has high contrast ratio and it’s bright enough for outdoor use. And despite the pixel-packed QHD panel, Acer’s Switch Alpha 12 delivers excellent battery life, particularly on web browsing test. We can’t miss to mention, though, that the display uses PWM – except at 100% brightness – and the frequency of the emitted light is relatively low and thus has a bigger impact on one’s eyesight. Nevertheless, this can be avoided when using our Health-Guard profile.
