Just when we thought we’d seen every feature a laptop could deliver, Acer went and surprised us. A stunning 18.4-inch, 1080p screen is merely the biggest of the multimedia goodies in this laptop. In addition to top-notch performance, this desktop replacement packs in some pleasant (and useful) surprises.

Overall, the Acer Aspire Ethos has a functional though imperfect design. The detachable trackpad doesn’t work particularly well and performance is fairly average. But the laptop looks and sounds good, and movie playback is superb. And $1499 isn’t a bad price for a system with an 18.4-inch display--especially if what it does well is a good match for your needs.

Tired of laptops with super small screens? The Acer Aspire Ethos AS8951G-9600 (LX.RJ207.008) is equipped with a 1080p 18.4 inch display that is nice and large for gaming. It also has a speedy quad-core processor and 8GB of memory with support for up to 16GB of RAM. Unfortunately, the slow hard drive is a bottleneck, and the video card isn't high end.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M: Successore della GeForce GT 445M basata sullo stesso chip GF106 con un clock rate leggermente superiore e con supporto per DDR3 da 900MHz.

Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.
