Something of everything. With the 8935G Acer presents an excitingly equipped multimedia notebook in the 18"inch format. For the price of 1500 euro there's a lot to be found. Beside the Q9000 Quad-Core CPU by Intel, as well as an ATI Mobility Radeon HD4670 as core components, there is a Blu-Ray Disc Drive and a 1080p FullHD Display. We really like the Aspire 8935G. Offering one of the best screens we've seen to date and great usability, it's truly an excellent home media centre.

EN→IT Archive.org versionIn all fairness, the Acer Aspire 8935G isn't really an update to the Aspire 8930G than say, a newer model. The 8935G improves on a lot of the design aspects found on the 8930G while maintaining much of the feel of the Aspire series. Acer has also used ideas from some of its newer designs like the Timeline series, e.g. the chiclet keyboard and successfully implanted it onto the 8935G. The keyboard feels just right on the notebook and brings to it a much needed elegance.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670: La ATI Mobilty Radon HD 4670 della AMD è un adattatore grafico di fascia media DirectX 10.1 per portatili. Tecnicamente è una Mobility Radeon HD 4650 con un clock superiore.
Le prestazioni di gioco della GPU si collocano tra la desktop HD 4650 e la 4670. Pertanto la maggior parete dei giochi DirectX 9 (come Call of Duty 4, F.E.A.R., o Unreal Tournament 3) dovrebbero essere giocabili con dettagli elevati (in 1024x768). I giochi DX10 pesanti a partire da quelli 2008 come Crysis funzionano in modo fluido solo con dettagli medi.
La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).

Q9000: CPU quad core (4 cores) con un clock lento che soffre in particolare con molti giochi proprio a causa della lentezza del clock. Di conseguenza, non è adatto ai giochi e per le applicazioni non multi threaded.
