It also comes with the tempting offer of a huge 6000mAh battery, which could conceivably last you into a third day of usage. It’s a well-built phone, too, with a decent level of water and dust resistance.However, this simply isn’t as pleasant to live with day to day as some of its key rivals. The key culprit is a 720p IPS display that simply isn’t as sharp or colourful as many of its rivals.Performance is adequate rather than outstanding, while the camera provision is bare bones at best, and lacks a certain flexibility. The Oppo A5 5G simply lacks the balance necessary to excel in the budget space. We’d have preferred Oppo to charge the extra £20 and give us the fully rounded experience that’s on offer elsewhere.

EN→ITAt $299, it’s much harder to forgive the Oppo A5 5G’s shortcomings than it was with the $219 Oppo A18. Sure, it’s rugged and offers a decent battery but, at these prices, the A5 5G’s screen should at least offer higher resolution, if not a better display quality than IPS LCD. Budget shoppers might not have a lot to spend, but they expect bang for their buck, and they’ll find more bang elsewhere.

EN→ITIn a vacuum, the Oppo A5 5G is a decent phone for the £179 / AU$299 asking price. However, when you compare it to the competition, the value proposition becomes a little more iffy. I reviewed this phone immediately after spending time with the CMF Phone 2 Pro. At MSRP, that device should cost £40 more, but currently the difference is less than £30 on Amazon. It's not an insignificant amount, but when you consider that the CMF Phone comes with a triple camera setup, 4K video recording, a gorgeous (smudge-free) 10-bit OLED display, a much more powerful chipset, and double the RAM - the Oppo A5 5G becomes very difficult to recommend. Sure, the Oppo A5 has one of the largest batteries in its class, but when the experience is compromised elsewhere, that doesn't feel like a good trade-off. Personally, I'd take a faster processor, an extra camera or a nicer screen over a big battery - and that's exactly what a lot of the competition offers.

Scheda grafica integrata di gamma media con 2 cluster. Basata sull'architettura Valhall.
Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.

Dimensity 6300: La CPU offre un totale di otto core, suddivisi in due cluster. Uno ha due core ARM Cortex-A76 per le prestazioni con un massimo di 2,4 GHz ciascuno, mentre l'altro ha sei core ARM Cortex-A55 per il risparmio energetico con un massimo di 2,0 GHz ciascuno. La RAM LPDDR4x con 2.133 MHz può essere utilizzata come RAM e UFS 2.2 è supportato come memoria interna. Il Dimensity 6300 è molto simile al vecchio Dimensity 6080.

I display con dimensioni maggiori consentono risoluzioni più elevate. Quindi, i dettagli come le lettere sono più grandi. D'altro canto, il consumo energetico è inferiore negli schermi con diagonali piccole e su dispositivi più piccoli, più leggeri ed economici.
