It’s not a bad deal on the lower-end configurations either, keeping appealing features like a Thunderbolt 3 port and a 144Hz refresh rate display in its most affordable $1,499 model. Despite a few nagging design issues, the foundation is more sound and powerful than ever. MSI’s design is the clear winner compared to the plentiful amount of all-plastic gaming laptops in each configuration’s price range. For now, Razer is still the standard to beat, but MSI is getting awfully close.

Many of those concern the system's performance and thermals in demanding loads, that's why I'd primarily look into the lower-tier i7 + RTX 2060/2070 configurations of this laptop, as versatile a work/school computer with only secondary gaming abilities. Still, it’s a decent option if you’re looking for a premium gaming notebook without paying Razer prices.

Archive.org versionMSI's GS66 Stealth is a solid followup to the GS65, one of our favorite gaming laptops. The new model packs Nvidia RTX graphics and Intel's new 10th gen chips in a sleek black chassis. But while there's nothing wrong with the GS66, it faces a much more competitive field. Razer's offerings cost more, but come in sleeker, more lightweight designs, and Asus's Zephyrus G14 is nearly as fast but cheaper, lighter, and with vastly superior battery life. We like the GS66, but these days, gaming laptops are so good it's worth shopping around.

Scheda grafica per laptop di fascia alta basata sul chip TU106 con 2.304 shaders e 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM. Offre velocit‡ di clock ridotte per ottenere un consumo energetico molto pi˘ basso.
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.

Un processore hexa-core ad alte prestazioni progettato per i computer portatili più spessi con spazio per migliori termiche. Il processore Comet Lake-H è prodotto sul processo Intel di terza generazione a 14 nm e dispone della iGPU UHD Graphics 630 con clock da 350 MHz a 1.150 MHz. I core della CPU funzionano a 2.6 GHz (velocità di clock di base) con boosting fino a 5 GHz e la probabile frequenza Boost all-core è di 4.3 GHz. Il supporto Hyper-Threading è abilitato, permettendo a due thread di funzionare simultaneamente su ogni core.
