Priced at $999, the laptop’s discrete Nvidia graphics chip serves up a surprising amount of power, with above-average results. And when you’re not gaming, the laptop’s Core i7 processor is more than capable of allowing you to create spreadsheets, do some light video-editing and, of course, watch some movies on that beautiful 1080p display.

EN→IT Archive.org versionOverall, I like the Lenovo Legion Y545. Visually, it’s amazing. The lack of the usual gamer aesthetic and the sleek design makes it look formal. The matte textured finish feels great and premium. The logo at the back is simple but effective, much like the ones on Apple or Razer. The big problem is that when you’re doing any system-taxing tasks, you can’t put it on your lap. You’d either choke the intake fans or place the center of heat directly on your lap. You could watch a movie while in bed, but you can’t edit videos or play games.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Mobile:
Scheda grafica dedicata di fascia media per computer portatili basata sulla GTX 1660 Ti desktop e quindi sull'architettura Turing senza raytracing e Tensor cores. Le prestazioni della variante Max-P dovrebbero essere simili a quelle di una vecchia GTX 1070.
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
