Il nostro test, che prevede la comparsa a schermo di un bagliore bianco su sfondo nero mentre un sensore rileva il ritardo tra il click del mouse e l'apparizione del bagliore, ha evidenziato un risultato decisamente valido, che mette Lenovo Y25-30 alle spalle solo dei monitor con refresh rate a 360 Hz, e nettamente davanti agli altri 240 Hz. Da verificare come la modalità overclock riduca ulteriormente la latenza, con qualche millesimo di secondo che farà comodo ai giocatori di eSport più impegnati. In modalità Over Drive, inoltre, il monitor offre vari livelli di tempo di risposta, andando da un minimo di 1ms a 4ms. Abilitando la modalità MPRT (la metrica che tiene conto anche del motion blur), invece, il tempo di risposta si attesta sul millesimo di secondo.

It excels as a gaming laptop, a workstation and a productivity machine thanks to a powerful CPU/GPU combination, excellent display, and a high-quality keyboard. The long-running battery life puts every other laptop with gaming pretensions to shame. That Lenovo has managed to package all that in a machine that’s lighter than a 16in MacBook Pro, and barely any larger, is nothing short of miraculous.

EN→ITIt's a complex matter, grading a gaming laptop that has openly made some compromises in order to shed some weight and keep things slim. On the one hand, the Legion Slim 7i is a success, with a profile that makes it miles more portable than many options on the market. The display is great, you get solid power and don't need to buy a suitcase just to move it around in. That said, the downside is that you do get slightly less power than most comparably expensive laptops manage, so you're paying a bit of a premium for the slimline build. We think that'll mean it's a bit of a niche proposition, but for those wanting a capable gaming laptop that's also genuinely portable, this is certainly a worthy new contender.

EN→ITAll in all, I’m glad Lenovo put more effort into the Legion Slim 7 series, updating them to modern 16:10 screen options, a multitude of modern hardware configurations, and a larger battery. They kind of neglected this niche of premium all-purpose thin-and-lights in recent years, and I’m happy that’s not the case anymore. From what we know so far, the 2022 Legion Slim 7 models are expected in stores around May-June this year, with prices starting at 1500-1600 USD in North America. The Intel + Nvidia models will demand a premium over the same-tier AMD configurations, but future discounts might level the field later in the year. We’ll know more about these once we get to review them properly, so stay around for our updates. Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
