Huawei MateBook 14 AMD percorre una strada intrigante: mantiene pressoché le stesse fattezze di altri dispositivi che abbiamo visto in passato, ma aggiunge all'equazione un processore prestante come il Ryzen 7 4800H. Si tratta di un notebook perfetto per la produttività. Infatti, MateBook 14 AMD si comporta perfettamente in un uso da ufficio, dalle prestazioni all'autonomia, passando per l'ottimo e comodo display touchscreen con aspect ratio 3:2. La qualità costruttiva c'è e non manca una ricarica a 65W. Sono inoltre stati fatti passi avanti in termini di sistema di raffreddamento e permangono una buona tastiera, un comodo pulsante d'accensione con sensore di impronte digitali integrato e l'iconica camera pop-up.

Restano alcuni limiti, con un'autonomia che non è al pari della proposta Intel e velocità di porte USB e reti WiFi che rimangono inferiori, ma non tali da modificar il giudizio finale: MateBook 14 AMD è un notebook per chi ricerca un sistema solido, esteticamente gradevole e dotato di hardware veloce e completo. Lo schermo da 14 pollici con rapporto 3:2 tra i lati fa la differenza anche in questo caso, mettendo a disposizione un livello di produttività personale che è superiore a quanto ottenibile con i tradizionali pannelli 16:9.
