EN→IT Archive.org versionIn the end, I feel like the EEE CP 1025CE is a solid mini laptop, one of the best, if not the best netbook I’ve ever seen. Hardware and specs wise, Asus did a great job: the mini laptop is solid built and looks good, the screen is surprisingly good for this class and the keyboard/trackpad combo aren’t bad either. However, there are some issues. The biggest is the hardware platform, which is also the big novelty. Like I said in the Hardware section, the CedarTrail platform is no revolution, so you shouldn’t expect a huge boost in performances from the little fellow. It does offer better graphics in an efficient pack, but that’s basically all. And only to some extent actually, as drivers are an issue that might not get solved that soon, as Intel is said to focus more on getting ready for Windows 8, than developing drivers for netbooks on Windows 7. Of course, I might be wrong here, only time will tell.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 3650: Scheda grafica integrata nel processore (i.e. nell'Atom N2800) senza memoria grafica dedicata. Molto probabilmente basata sul design PowerVR simile alla GMA 500 ma con un clock rate superiore.
Queste schede grafiche per portatili non sono adatte al gaming. Anche se dovessero funzionare, ci sarebbero diversi errori grafici e un frame rate molto basso. Questi chips non sono affatto per i gamers! Applicazioni internet e da ufficio, invece non sono problematiche per queste GPUs.

Intel Atom:
La Intel Atom è una serie a 64-Bit di microprocessori (non tutti i modelli supportano 64bit) per portatili economici e piccoli (chiamati comunemente netbooks), MIDs, o UMPCs (Ultra Mibile Persona Computer). La particolarità della nuova architettura è l'esecuzione "in order" (al posto della consueta e più veloce esecuzione "out of order"). Di conseguenza il transistor count della serie Atom è abbastanza inferiore, e quindi più economico da produrre. Inoltre, il consumo di energia è molto contenuto. Le prestazioni per Megahertz sono ovviamente peggiori rispetto ai vecchi Pentium 3M (1,2 GHz alla pari di 1.6 GHz Atom).
