Quite obviously, you’re not going to get an awesome cameraphone or great sounding audio but the Galaxy J1 (2016) does well in updating or refreshing the series. We only hope that the next iteration will focus a bit more on the energy efficiency, as most entry-level smartphones are known for having longer battery life. That being said, it does offer one of the lowest priced “memberships” into the Samsung Galaxy Life “club” but because of the above we probably would not recommend this as a secondary standby phone, unless you keep it turned off until needed of course.

We were pretty impressed by the Super AMOLED display and its modes, despite the relatively low resolution. Furthermore, the low exterior temperatures after the stress test left us really delighted. What actually amazed us was the battery. At first sight, it may seem small with its 2050 mAh but it did great in all of our tests. The main 5MP camera is also decent, especially in terms of macro capability and the feature-rich menu. In other words, if you’re after an affordable and good smartphone, you may want to consider Galaxy J1 (2016).

Giudizio del team : il prezzo è davvero molto interessante considerando le caratteristiche hardware e software che questo smartphone possiede. Lo schermo bello ampio stranamente utilizza la tecnologia IPS LCD e non Super Amoled ma il risultato è altrettanto soddisfacente con una luminosità, vivacità dei colori e limpidezza davvero interessanti considerando anche il valore della pixel density di 401 ppi. Il processore ? Forse poco potente e non capiamo bene la natura dell'accoppiata con il chipset Exynos che comunque non è male ma avremmo voluto vedere almeno un chipset Qualcomm.

As an alternative to the Galaxy J7 Prime, you could at the Lenovo Z2 Plus which comes for Rs 19,999. If you can extend your budget, you can get the Xiaomi Mi 5 as well. If you are keen on the Galaxy J7 Prime, then I would suggest waiting till it gets a price drop closer to the Rs 15,000 range.

Giudizio del team : quello che ci delude degli smartphone Samsung è che hanno sempre una estetica simile e non variano quasi mai nulla nelle loro linee. Anche questo modello non fa eccezione ed alla fine se non fosse per le caratteristiche che sono diverse da altri smartphone, lo avremmo paragonato a tanti altri. Per fortuna su questo Samsung si è deciso di optare per un pannello IPS LCD e non per un Super Amoled ed invece di usare un chipset Qualcomm è stato usato un Exynos affiancato però ad un processore poco potente davvero perchè 1.4 Ghz sono pochissimi al giorno d'oggi per gestire tutte le funzioni, le apps ed il sistema operativo.

Il Galaxy J7 2016 è un'ottima scelta per chi è alla ricerca di un dispositivo di fascia media o di un'alternativa ai Motorola. Il device regala infatti buone specifiche, ma quel "ci siamo quasi" del titolo è dovuto ai limiti della memoria interna: sarebbe stato meglio avere a disposizione una versione da 32GB piuttosto che quella da 16GB. Sono sicuro che però vi troverete d'accordo con me: questo terminale è buono per giocare occasionalmente, stare sui social network e per godere di una buona esperienza multimediale in generale.

Giudizio del team : ci risiamo ancora una volta. Anche questa volta infatti la Samsung ha immesso sul mercato uno smartphone veramente ridicolo dal prezzo pure tanto esagerato. Rendiamoci conto che 159 euro per uno smartphone con uno schermo TFT LCD da soli 4 pollici e che non sfrutta nemmeno i 16 milioni di colori è una cosa assurda al giorno d'oggi. Vada per la poca memoria Ram e per quella interna che comunque si può espandere usando uan micro sd ma a livello di schermo proprio non ci siamo mentre i processori sono poco potenti ma soprattutto utilizzano una tecnologia davvero poco conosciuta. Ma cosa gli ha preso a Samsung ?

Giudizio del team : sinceramente il telefono non è il massimo e nel prezzo paghiamo molto il nome Samsung. Lo schermo bello ampio ed il processore che spinge abbastanza bene hanno fatto lievitare il suo prezzo fino a oltre i 300 euro ma sinceramente è un prezzo esagerato che sarà, secondo noi, destinato a calare con il tempo. Bello comunque lo schermo che mostra i colori in modo davvero vivido e perfetto anche il sistema chipset-cpu-gpu che lavorano tra loro benissimo ed il telefono ha una buona reazione senza avere particolari problemi.

Il Galaxy (2017) è un buono smartphone che assomiglia ad un dispositivo della gamma A. Ha una configurazione tecnica simile a quella dell'A3 (2017). Il design è anche un chiaro promemoria del fatto che il dispositivo sta uscendo dallo stesso stampo, nonostante il fatto che non ci sia l'impermeabilità e nemmeno la porta USB Tipo-C. Tutto questo si traduce in uno smartphone che non è molto innovativo nel design, ma è comunque abbastanza carino, abbastanza potente per eseguire la maggior parte dei giochi senza problemi ed è difficile immaginare che un acquirente potrebbe rimpiangere l'acquisto.

Il Galaxy J7 2017, come detto in apertura, ha un prezzo di listino di 349 euro anche se su Amazon e su altri store on line lo si riesce già a trovare facilmente a circa 270 euro, un prezzo sicuramente più interessante ma che lo mette comunque ancora un po’ in difficoltà rispetto ad altri device che affollano questa fascia di mercato tra cui lo stesso Galaxy A5 2017 che si trova ad un prezzo di poco superiore. A mio avviso, i punti di forza di questo smartphone sono, oltre al bel display Super AMOLED, la qualità fotografica e la durata della batteria. Tra i punti a sfavore, invece, oltre all’ergonomia, ci metto anche i soli 16GB di memoria integrata ed i tasti funzione non retroilluminati.

Giudizio del team : sinceramente dallo smartphone Samsung J5 a questo le differenze non sono poi tantissime. La parte più importante e quindi il trittico chipset-processore-gpu è identica e quindi offre una potenza ed una qualità grafica uguale. Anche il reparto memorie è simile ma allora perchè costa di più ? Innanzitutto perchè il suo schermo raggiunge i 5,5 pollici quindi è più grande del fratello minore e poi perchè la sua batteria ha una potenza ben maggiore. Infatti siamo di fronte ad una differenza di alcune centinaia di mAh che alla fine si traducono con una capacità di resistere acceso per diverse ore in più rispetto al modello minore.

I 285 euro di Amazon sono DECISAMENTE più a fuoco dei 349 di listino. Uno smartphone medio che però ha un display e una camera da "grandi". Ottima anche l'autonomia e la parte telefonica. Meno bene le solite cadute di stile Samsung sui J. Tastiera che non vibra, tasti idem per di più non retroilluminati. Ma per chi cerca un telefono medio basso di gamma lo consiglio. Da comprare on line dove il prezzo è giusto!

Giudizio del team : sinceramente non siamo molto soddisfatti di questo telefono che non ha molto di diverso da altri Samsung della serie J. Certamente siamo di fronte ad uno schermo molto ampio che quasi raggiunge i 6 pollici e che non si vede assolutamente male, anzi, i colori sono chiarissimi, reali, molto vividi ma innanzitutto, avendo uno schermo appunto così ampio, ci saremmo aspettati una batteria più potente e non di appena 3300 mAh che poteva andar bene per modelli con schermo inferiore. Soddisfatti però sia del procesore che spinge davvero molto bene anche se non è un Qualcomm che del reparto memorie che con i suoi 4 giga di Ram non crea problemi di utilizzo di varie apps in contemporanea.

Much to our dismay, though, that didn’t quite pan out perfectly. While the J7 does have excellent battery life, a decent screen, and Samsung’s unique Android Experience, it simply doesn’t do anything better than most of its competitors, save for battery life. Not to mention there are a slew of Motorola phones (E, G, and X series) and even a Nokia or two which arguably look better, have more features, perform better in key areas, and cost the same or less than the 2018 Galaxy J7.

I liked this phone, but not so much the camera. As a budget model it delivers as well as any other phone in the $100 price range, but with a bigger LCD than average (effective). As long as you ignore the camera, this phone will certainly do the job for most folks but it's a long way from being flagship class, even when compared to the flagships of 2016 (the S7).

Il nome Samsung significa "Tre stelle" in coreano e rappresenta i tre figli del fondatore dell'azienda. L'azienda nasce nel 1938 come negozio di alimentari. Con la sua controllata Samsung Electronics, fondata nel 1969, Samsung ha intrapreso la produzione di articoli elettrotecnici, concentrandosi fin dall'inizio sull'elettronica di consumo e sugli elettrodomestici. Altri rami in cui è attiva la grande società includono ingegneria meccanica, automobili (Hyundai), assicurazioni, commercio all'ingrosso, immobiliare e tempo libero. Samsung produce una vasta gamma di prodotti elettronici, inclusi smartphone, televisori, elettrodomestici e semiconduttori. La linea di smartphone Galaxy dell'azienda è una delle più popolari al mondo. Queste schede grafiche per portatili non sono adatte al gaming. Anche se dovessero funzionare, ci sarebbero diversi errori grafici e un frame rate molto basso. Questi chips non sono affatto per i gamers! Applicazioni internet e da ufficio, invece non sono problematiche per queste GPUs.

Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.

ARM Mali-T830 MP2:

Scheda grafica integrata per smartphones e tablets con due clusters (MP2) e supporto OpenGL ES 3.2.

Qualcomm Adreno 505:

La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).

ARM Mali-T880 MP2:

Soluzione grafica mobile per tablet e smartphone, che si può trovare nei SoC ARM (per la maggior parte dei dispositivi basati su Android). La Mali-T880 può essere costruita da 1 a 16 cluster, dove la versione MP2 presenta 2 cluster/cores.
