Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Il K6 è uno smartphone di fascia media molto buono che offre molto considerando il prezzo. Questo smartphone da 5" ha una solida costruzione e monta unn display Full-HD, LTE, fotocamera da 13 MP, lettore impronte digitali, slots dual SIM. C'è anche il Dolby Atmos surround sound e sebbene il K6 non sia un concert hall portatile, offre una qualità di suono nettamente migliore rispetto alle casse integrate nella maggioranza degli smartphones. L'ampia durata della batteria e il display luminoso con eccellenti angoli di visuale completano gli aspetti positivi.

Il Lenovo K6 ha unhardware che normalmente è riservato solo agli smartphones più costosi di fascia media.

Non dovrebbe sorprendere che un prezzo sotto i 200 Euro (~$215) comporti almeno qualche compromesso. Sebbene lo Snapdragon 430 si comporti bene, il suo moderato output mostra che non ci sono molte riserve e il SoC presto o tardi arriverà al limite con le prossime apps e giochi. 16 GB non sono molti, e occorre una scheda microSD di espansione - almeno la dimensione supportata arriva fino a 128 GB. Sfortunatamente, l'espansione dello spazio elimina il vantaggio della funzione dual-SIM a causa del dual-slot ibrido. La velocità WLAN rilevata da 50 MBit/s non impressiona, ma è buona considerando i limiti tecnici. 

Una parola per il sistema operativo: Android 6.0 Marshmallow è una attuale versione del Google OS, ma non sappiamo quando ci sarà l'update ad Android 7. Non ci sono annunci ufficiali da parte di Lenovo, quindi dobbiamo puntare sui rumors Internet, che parlano di un aggiornamento Android tra 3-6 mesi. Se non potete fare a mano di Android 7 dovreste ritardare un po' l'acquisto.
