Un trend comune tra i DTRs gaming sta nel fornire CPUs e GPUs estremamente potenti accompagnate da economici e lenti HDDs da 5400 RPM in modo da mantenere i costi bassi ed attrarre i gamers con budgets limitati. Dopo tutto, tutti i giochi girano in modo simile in termini di FPS e giocabilità con sistemi HDD-based rispetto a sistemi SSD-based se tutto il resto è uguale. Le prestazioni di sistema e con le applicazioni soffrono in modo piuttosto apprezzabile nel fornire prestazioni gaming eccezionali a costi contenuti. Questo potrebbe essere un giusto compromesso per i gamers, ma è sicuramente un concetto difficile da digerire per gli utenti che voglio utilizzare il GT70 sia per il gaming che per editing intensivo.

Per $1499, il GT70 come visto è sempre un'opzione attraente per la facilità di accesso e di upgradeable dell'hardware. Detto questo, è una sfortuna che gli utenti debbano rompere la garanzia anche solo per accedere alla RAM o all'HDD. Gli utenti sicuramente si divertiranno con le capacità gaming del dispositivo, ma raccomandiamo l'update dell'HDD da 5400 RPM o anche l'aggiunta di un secodo per migliorare le prestazioni di sistema.
