In review: Asus GL552VW-DH74. Test model provided by Xotic PC.

Le nostre analisi e le conclusioni si basano sulle condizioni del portatile così come esce dallo scatolo. Poiché l'unità Xotic PC ha un overclock di fabbrica, i nostri rilievi di temperature, rumorosità performance, e autonomia della batteria potrebbero differire dallo stock GL552VW. Detto questo, le prestazioni GPU del nostro Xotic PC GL552VW sono nettamente avanti a altri sistemi con una GTX 960M con una rumorosità della ventola molto superiore e consumi esorbitanti, con conseguente breve autonomia. Questi punti deboli non dovrebbero importare molto agli utenti che cercano un portatile gaming che difficilmente usano senza collegare alla rete elettrica.

Le ragioni per evitare l'Asus GL552 e passare all'MSI GE62 includono le dimensioni ed il peso inferiori di quest'ultimo senza sacrificare la qualità del case. Il portatile MSI è più facile da gestire ed ha un look migliore, tuttavia monta un sistema di raffreddamento meno potente e i componenti si scaldano di più sotto stress.

Peso e dimensioni sono i principali punti deboli del GL552VW. Se l'utente può convivere con un portatile gaming da usare in case, allora l'Asus offre un eccellente display da 1080p IPS, buon overclocking, ed un rigido e sobrio chassis. I tagli e le features sono molto evidenti se si confrontano i modelli come l'Asus G752 o l'MSI GT72S.
