Preliminary Verdict
Google presenta un potente tablet in coperazione con HTC, il che crea elevate aspettative visti gli eccellenti predecessori. Tuttavia, il prezzo è il primo punto debole. Il Nexus 9 è leggermente più ingombrante rispetto ai concorrenti, ma il design resta piacevole. Tuttavia, da subito abbiamo notato alcune pecche dal punto di vista della qualità. Il display ha una risoluzione molto elevata ed è molto luminoso, ma il contrasto potrebbe essere migliore. La fotocamera offre solo funzioni elementari, ma la risuluzione supera quella di altri tablets, e c'è un flash LED.
Il Nvidia's Tegra K1 (Denver) ci impressiona con prestazioni eccellenti. Nella recensione definitiva dovremo verificare un possibile throttling della GPU. Abbiamo anche apprezzato molto il Google Android 5.0 Lollipop, che sino ad ora ha funzionato in modo abbastanza fluido.
Ci è mancata una estensione dello spazio tramite scheda microSD, specialmente in quanto il Nexus 9 è disponibile solo con 16 GB o 32 GB di spazio interno. Il tablet non riuscirà ad avere un punteggio molto buono. E' un peccato che ottimi dispositivi come il Nexus 7 sono stati eliminati dal portfolio del produttore Americano.
