While not a bad machine by any stretch, we weren't overly impressed with the last Packard Bell (PB) machine we looked at, the Easynote TJ65-AU-010UK. Let's find out if the Acer subsidiary can convince us this time around with its higher-specced EasyNote TJ65-AU-031UK. Despite a slightly unresponsive touchpad, the Packard Bell EasyNote TJ65-AU-031UK offers good value for money, making it a prime candidate for those looking for a capable, all-round laptop on a budget.

A stylish and well-specified laptop that offers great value for money.  Packard Bell is renowned for offering good value machines at prices that are hard to beat, but in the past we've often been left wanting when it comes to designs that stand out. The EasyNote TJ65-AU-010UK looks set to change this, offering a highly stylish design at an impressively low price. Overall, despite its flawed office and multimedia capabilities, we really like the EasyNote TJ65-AU-010UK. It's a stylish, well made and competent machine.

A budget model, but does it impress? Packard Bell is renowned for its affordable laptop ranges, but it’s rare that they excite. Recently, however, it seems that more time and effort has been spent on the design side of things, and the EasyNote TJ65 is a great example of this. We’re very impressed by the Packard Bell EasyNote TJ65. Sure, there are more powerful options, but if just need a machine to edit documents or browse the internet on, and put quality and style ahead of processor specifications, then this may be the machine for you.

Before the EasyNote NJ65 came along, it had been many years since we reviewed a PC from Packard Bell. However, now that it's been acquired by Acer, the company is going through a bit of a <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">UK</st1:place></st1:country-region> revival. Assaulting the budget end of the market is its EasyNote range and today we're looking at the NJ65's larger yet slightly cheaper cousin, the 15.6in TJ65, which can be yours for just £450. Packard Bell has put together a fairly good system for an attractive price, but it's not without its flaws and it doesn't stand out from the crowd in any particular way.

NVIDIA GeForce G 105M: La Nvidia GeForce G105M è una GeForce 9300M G con clock superiore e pertanto si pone come una scheda DirectX 10 per portatili piccoli e sottili.
Rispetto alla 9300M G, la G 105M sfrutta solo 8 shaders cores. Per superare questo problema, ha una velocità clock superiore. Inoltre, integra il nuovo processore video VP3 (le 8400M, e 9300M G hanno un VP2) con pià features video e miglior supporto di decodifica video hd. 

Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.

Intel Pentium Dual Core: Un ritorno del nome Pentium, sebbene sia un core Yonah. In fatti, è un processore dual Core con un ottimo rapporto prestazioni consumi.

T4300: CPU di fascia medio bassa dual core con 1 MB di level 2 cache e senza virtualization technology. Rispetto alla linea Core 2 Duo, sono disattivati alcuni meccanismi di risparmio energetico.

15.6": La variante di display da 15 pollici rientra tra lo standard ed è utilizzata da più della metà di tutti i portatili. I display da 15.4 pollici in 16:10 sono lo standard per i portatili. Attualmente, sempre più appaiono i displays 16:9 da 15.6 pollici. Lo svantaggio è che la lettura di testi è estenuante per gli occhi. Risoluzioni elevate difficilmente potranno essere utilizzate.

2.66 kg: Questo peso è medio per i notebooks. Di conseguenza la numerosità di portatili con schermo da 14-15 pollici è condizionata proprio dal peso.

Packard Bell: Packard Bell è una controllata della Taiwanese Acer. E' un nome usato da due diverse aziende di elettronica. La prima era una azienda che produce va radio fondata nel 1926, la seconda è stata una fornitrice della difesa di apparecchiature elettroniche come televisori. Teledyne la acquisì nel 1978. Nel 1986, investitori acquisirono il nome per una nuova azienda di produzione di personal computer. In origine l'azienda produceva computers a basso costo per gli USA, ma in seguito furono prodotti anche per il mercato europeo. NEC ha preso il controllo alla fine degli anni '90. Acer ha acquisito il tutto nel 2008. Nonostante il nome simile, non c'è mai stata alcuna connessione tra la originaria Packard Bell e la Hewlett Packard, o la Bell System. Packard Bell è un produttore di notebook internazionale, ma con una fetta di mercato e di recensioni contenute. Sino ad ora (2009), l'azienda si è concentrata su laptops corazzati.
