It’s an attractive business proposition though thanks to the compatibility of its Windows OS, its security features and the availability of accessories that allow you to effectively bridge the laptop/tablet gap.

You’ll certainly get approving nods around the boardroom table if you whip this bad boy out. Sadly, there’s no built in stand or included keyboard – you’ll have to purchase those separately.

In practice, I found it worked best paired with the keyboard cover as a coffee shop or airplane seat computer. On its own, it's a harder case to make, but that's largely because Windows 8 has yet to prove it really works as a satisfying full-time tablet OS.

EN→IT Archive.org versionThe only thing holding me back from scoring this tablet higher than its closest competition, the Dell Venue 11 Pro, is the fixed angle on Lenovo’s Ultrabook dock. It was that annoying to use on a table with the screen tipped so far back. If I had to buy one or the other, I still lean toward the ThinkPad 10. But I’d pass over the Ultrabook dock in favor of the Quickshot cover to hold the pen and prop up the tablet. Then I’d need to find the ultimate Bluetooth keyboard to go with it.

The display is exceptionally crisp and bright, and the keyboard dock is very functional -- you can adjust to using it immediately, rather than training your fingers to the often spongy feel of many tablet keyboards. There are no complaints about the Thinkpad 10; if you need a tablet for business or for tasks Android isn't quite up for, Lenovo's newest offering is an excellent choice.

Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail): GPU Bay Trail SoCs integrata per tablet e notebook. Si basa sulla GPU Ivy Bridge con quattro Execution Units e supporta DirectX 11.
Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.

Intel Atom:
La Intel Atom è una serie a 64-Bit di microprocessori (non tutti i modelli supportano 64bit) per portatili economici e piccoli (chiamati comunemente netbooks), MIDs, o UMPCs (Ultra Mibile Persona Computer). La particolarità della nuova architettura è l'esecuzione "in order" (al posto della consueta e più veloce esecuzione "out of order"). Di conseguenza il transistor count della serie Atom è abbastanza inferiore, e quindi più economico da produrre. Inoltre, il consumo di energia è molto contenuto. Le prestazioni per Megahertz sono ovviamente peggiori rispetto ai vecchi Pentium 3M (1,2 GHz alla pari di 1.6 GHz Atom).

I display con dimensioni maggiori consentono risoluzioni più elevate. Quindi, i dettagli come le lettere sono più grandi. D'altro canto, il consumo energetico è inferiore negli schermi con diagonali piccole e su dispositivi più piccoli, più leggeri ed economici.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" dalla leggenda inglese, novo (latino) per nuovo) è stata fondata nel 1984 come società cinese di commercio di computer. Nel 2004, l'azienda era il più grande produttore di laptop in Cina e, dopo aver acquisito la divisione PC di IBM nel 2005, il quarto più grande al mondo. Oltre a desktop e notebook, l'azienda produce monitor, proiettori, server, ecc. ed è specializzata nello sviluppo, produzione e commercializzazione di elettronica di consumo, personal computer, software, soluzioni aziendali e servizi correlati.
Nel 2016, l'azienda si è classificata al primo posto al mondo nelle vendite di computer. Lo deteneva ancora nel 2023 con una quota di mercato globale di circa il 23%. Importanti linee di prodotti sono Thinkpad, Legion e Ideapad.
Nel 2011 ha acquisito una partecipazione di maggioranza in Medion AG, un produttore europeo di hardware per computer. Nel 2014 è stata acquistata Motorola Mobility, che ha dato a Lenovo una spinta nel mercato degli smartphone.
