We will soon update the review with our in-depth tests of the screen and camera, but even at this moment we can say, that Huawei P8lite is a good offering for a mid-class device. Although, appearance is a subjective matter and some users may find the device unappealing, we think that it will come to the liking to the majority, thanks to its elegant design and 7.7 mm thick body. The Kirin 620 SoC provides high enough performance for the phone to be able to compete head to head with its Snapdragon and MediaTek competitors and even surpass them in some of our tests. The measured temperatures are a slight downfall, but we must keep in mind that they are only present after heavy usage and only on one side of the phone. Even though we expected the UI to have many features and apps, we were still pleasantly surprised from all the features like different gesture controls, energy saving modes etc, found in the settings menu. We still don’t have the results from the camera tests yet, but we can state that it takes quality shots based uppon the sample photos we took with the device.

Huawei P8 Lite 2017 si muove in una fascia di mercato complicata, dove ogni virgola potrebbe fare la differenza. Una batteria capiente ma non convincente, la propensione a sporcarsi e qualche scattino nei giochi potrebbero suscitare qualche dubbio nei potenziali acquirenti, ma alla luce del prezzo contenutissimo (199 euro on-line), degli scatti fotografici e del design penso sia una forte evoluzione del modello del 2015 e che sia la risposta più concreta in Europa se si dovesse disporre di un budget molto stretto. Sebbene Honor 6X sia più equilibrato in molti aspetti rispetto a questo P8 Lite, mi ha colpito maggiormente quest’ultimo perché non solo è completo ma anche terribilmente bello.

Il Huawei P8 Lite 2017, tutto sommato ci ha convinto, è di per se un buon prodotto, ma purtroppo non riusciamo a trovargli una collocazione, soprattutto con un prezzo di lancio di 249 euro, lo stesso dell’Honor 6X, con cui divide processore e memoria, ma non la fotocamera (dual cam sul 6x) e la memoria interna (32GB sul 6X). Se invece rimaniamo sui prodotti a marchio Huawei, si va a scontare con il P9 Lite (qui la nostra prova), uscito meno di un anno fa, è ancora un prodotto molto valido e paragonabile con il P8 Lite 2017, adesso, anche con in prezzo, entrambi li possiamo trovare online a circa 220 euro.

Huawei:

Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.

ARM Mali-T628 MP4:

Queste schede grafiche per portatili non sono adatte al gaming. Anche se dovessero funzionare, ci sarebbero diversi errori grafici e un frame rate molto basso. Questi chips non sono affatto per i gamers! Applicazioni internet e da ufficio, invece non sono problematiche per queste GPUs.
