EN→IT Archive.org versionThe Pavilion 10 TouchSmart is grossly overpriced. It could have been a great budget option, filling the void left by the netbook category's demise. At this price you can easily buy a much better laptop from pretty much every manufacturer out there, including HP itself! You should look for at least a 14- or 15-inch screen and an Intel Core i3 processor, though the RAM, hard drive and screen resolution would likely be the same.

Then, when you dive down, you find above-average performance for the price, impressive front-facing speakers and more than 9.5 hours of battery life. I just wish the keyboard were roomier, although that's a concession made for this system's 10-inch size.

It has ample power to drive all your entertainment requirements and has good enough battery life. We would have loved to see a backlit keyboard and better performance from the machine but maybe at this sub-30k price, it is too much to ask for. Still, if you want the functionality of a tablet and the productivity of a laptop, and can do with just the essential apps, the HP Pavilion x2 is worth a shot.

HP: Fondata nel 1939, l'azienda statunitense è un importante produttore di server e stampanti e una delle aziende IT leader a livello mondiale. Fino al 2015, la società si chiamava Hewlett-Packard Company. Dopo una scissione, la divisione computer è stata ribattezzata HP Inc.
Nel 2023, HP deteneva una quota di mercato approssimativa del 22% delle vendite globali di PC, diventando così il numero 2 dopo Lenovo.
Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.
AMD Radeon HD 8180:
Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail): GPU Bay Trail SoCs integrata per tablet e notebook. Si basa sulla GPU Ivy Bridge con quattro Execution Units e supporta DirectX 11.
Intel HD Graphics (Cherry Trail):
La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).
Intel HD Graphics 400 (Braswell):
Scheda grafica integrata nei processori della serie Intel Braswell (2016 Celeron). Si basa sull'architettura Broadwell (Intel Gen8) e supporta il DirectX 11.2. In base al processore offre 12 shader cores (EU) e varie velocità clock.

AMD A-Series:
A4-1200: APU Dual-core per ultraportatili e tablets low-end, nome in codice Temash. Basato sull'architettura Jaguar. Integra una scheda grafica Radeon HD 8180.
Intel Atom:
La Intel Atom è una serie a 64-Bit di microprocessori (non tutti i modelli supportano 64bit) per portatili economici e piccoli (chiamati comunemente netbooks), MIDs, o UMPCs (Ultra Mibile Persona Computer). La particolarità della nuova architettura è l'esecuzione "in order" (al posto della consueta e più veloce esecuzione "out of order"). Di conseguenza il transistor count della serie Atom è abbastanza inferiore, e quindi più economico da produrre. Inoltre, il consumo di energia è molto contenuto. Le prestazioni per Megahertz sono ovviamente peggiori rispetto ai vecchi Pentium 3M (1,2 GHz alla pari di 1.6 GHz Atom).

Soc con un processore core Atom integrato con clock da 1.44 - 1.92 GHz, una GPU Intel HD Graphics ed un controller di memoria dual channel LPDDR3-1600.
