It boasts class-leading battery life, good build quality and design, a decent amount of quick storage space, and a full HD screen that's easy on the eyes. The larger Dell Inspiron 15 3000 Series remains our Editors' Choice award, however, for having much better performance, more memory, a touch screen, and a wide, expansive keyboard with numeric keypad for doing real work, all while coming in at a lower price. That said, if portability is more important to you than power, keep the VivoBook on your short list.

However, for £50 more you can grab the Acer Swift 1, which comes in lighter, smaller and offers even better build quality along with a fingerprint reader. However, its more compact size does also mean it offers less in terms of the roominess provided by the L403’s 14-inch chassis.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. è un importante produttore taiwanese di hardware per computer con sede a Taipei, fondato nel 1989. Con il marchio Asus, l'azienda produce un'ampia gamma di prodotti, tra cui laptop, desktop, schede madri, schede grafiche, monitor, smartphone e apparecchiature di rete , sistemi completi e componenti PC per utenti finali.
Con il marchio ROG (Republic of Gamers), ASUS produce laptop da gioco conosciuti dai giocatori per le loro potenti specifiche, schede grafiche dedicate, display ad alta frequenza di aggiornamento e sistemi di raffreddamento avanzati.
Oltre ai giochi, viene offerta un'ampia gamma di notebook per esigenze e budget diversi, dagli ultrabook ultrasottili e leggeri ai versatili convertibili 2 in 1 e alle opzioni economiche. Nel 2023, Asus deteneva una quota di mercato globale del 7% del mercato dei PC.
La soddisfazione del cliente per i notebook ASUS riguarda le prestazioni, le caratteristiche e il buon rapporto prezzo-prestazioni dei notebook ASUS. Tuttavia, come con qualsiasi marca, ci sono segnalazioni occasionali di problemi come surriscaldamento, compatibilità dei driver o problemi di qualità costruttiva.
La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).
Intel HD Graphics (Braswell):
Scheda grafica integrata in processori della serie Intel Braswell (Celeron e Pentium). Basata sull'architettura Broadwell (Intel Gen8) supporta DirectX 11.2. In base al processore offre 12 o 16 shader cores (EU) e varie velocità clock.
Intel HD Graphics 505:
Adattatore grafico integrato low-end con supporto DirectX 12, che possiamo trovare su alcuni SoCs ULV della serie Apollo Lake.

Intel Pentium:
Pentium N4200:
Frugale SoC quad-core della serie Apollo Lake per notebook economici. Gira con clocks tra 1.1-2.5 GHz ed integra un adattatore grafico che usa DirectX 12. Rispetto alla precedente generazione Atom, le performance per-MHz dell'architettura CPU sono state nettamente migliorate e anche l'adattatore grafico è stato migliorato.
