In conclusione, questo dispositivo non è propriamente perfetto, gli alti e i bassi non mancano, come la bassa risoluzione del display ma l’ottima qualità dello stesso, l’infinita autonomia ma con prestazioni non proprio eccellenti per un uso intenso. L’acquisto è consigliato particolarmente agli studenti universitari che necessitano di un dispositivo per prendere appunti, consultare slide e con tanta autonomia.

Per circa 400€, ASUS Transformer Mini T102HA è un prodotto molto interessante e che, alla fine, colpisce. Ho provato tanti prodotti simili in passato, evidenziando spesso una costruzione insufficiente, oppure prestazioni inconsistenti, o la mancanza di cura in generale. Qui ASUS ha invece fatto una operazione intelligente, migliorando gli aspetti chiave e andando anche oltre in certi casi – non mi sarei aspettato, ad esempio, di trovare il riconoscimento con l’impronta di Windows Hello o 128 GB di storage già integrati. Buyers are likely to either love the Asus Transformer Mini T102HA or be disappointed in it. Its highs and lows are marked. Don’t expect the quality of the Surface Pro 4 for less than half the price. While build isn’t dramatically reduced, general performance is. It’s the same old issue with Windows 10 laptops that have Atom processors, making the Asus Transformer Mini T102HA much slower than a Chromebook or Android hybrid. It’s the price of Windows 10 flexibility. However, if you can accept the slower feel, common to everything that runs Windows 10 using an Atom CPU, then the T102HA is a handy little machine. Battery life is excellent, the keyboard solid once you become accustomed to its smaller size and the stylus a fun extra.

The Transformer Mini is an excellent 10.1-inch tablet with an optional attachable keyboard. When viewed that way, it’s certainly an attractive product. If you view it as a laptop replacement, like some of the competition is going for, you may be disappointed. The Transformer Mini is great for a briefcase or a purse – a portable tablet with good performance, good battery life, and an underwhelming keyboard.

So, where does that leave your buying decision? It depends on how much you value tablet functionality. Remember, using the T102HA with its keyboard in your lap isn’t all that practical; the Transformer Book T100HA or Lenovo Ideapad Miix 310, with their solid keyboard bases (or a traditional laptop) are much better suited to that. If you plan to make use of the tablet more than anything, the T102HA is easier to recommend. The T102HA model with 64GB of storage is just $50 more than the Lenovo with the same amount of storage, yet has double the RAM and includes the stylus.

If a person cares more about portability, compact size and low price than pure performance, a computer like ASUS T102HA-D4-GR should be money well spent. You need not worry about buying tablet because it’s already included here, but keep in mind the performance isn’t top notch – everyday computing is good, power user software or god forbid games are not. If you accept this division, going for the ASUS is worth it.

I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria.
