EN→ITAfter all is said and done I think this fits nicely into its niche, which is a non portable, non gaming, multimedia laptop. With the addition of a built-in tuner, IR port, and a remote control it would almost be perfect. I say almost because the price tag is a bit high. With a retail price of $1799 it may be a bit out of reach for the target market I mentioned above. In fact you could get a much more powerful nice desktop for that price, in fact I recently built a new desktop computer and it only cost me $1450. However, nobody pays retail and it is fairly easy to find this laptop for quite a bit less. With just a few minutes of searching on Amazon I was able to find this laptop (with smaller hard drives) for $1399, and an upgraded model (faster CPU and hard drives) for $1633. If you are in the market for a really large multimedia laptop, and you have $1399 or more to burn, you might want to check out the ASUS N90Sv.

EN→ITIf you're easily impressed by size, you'll love the Asus N90Sv A2. Its 18.4-inch display is big and beautiful. Its dual hard drive setup gives 1TB of storage, and its 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 130M graphics card has no trouble delivering HD content to larger screens. It's a good-looking laptop, too. We just wish the N90Sv A2's overall performance were more on par with its large price tag. It's not an ideal multimedia laptop, but the Asus N90Sv A2 is a good-looking, well-appointed desktop replacement.

EN→ITThe ASUS N90Sv-X1 is certainly a desktop replacement laptop because of its large 18.4-inch display and 9.3 pound weight but it also offers solid performance for its $1400 price tag. The display is one of the best features of the laptop with its very bright and colorful output. For those looking for a laptop to be taken around periodically but a bit more performance, the N90Sv-X1 offers a good balance but you do have to live with fewer ports and a case that will frequently need cleaning.

If pure performance is paramount, the MSI GT725 packs a 2.0-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Quad 9000 processor, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4850 graphics, Blu-ray, and a full HD display for $100 less—if you’re willing to downgrade to a speedy, yet much smaller 320GB, 7,200-rpm hard drive.

EN→ITOverall ASUS N90SV-A2 is a decent large format multimedia notebook, handling most modern games and HD video without any problem. It has great design with very good build quality, something that is becoming a common trend with ASUS notebooks these days. Feature selection is good, with the onboard Blu-ray player with this model, but the missing eSATA is a downside. While the price is high compared to similarly configured 17" notebooks, most online retailers are selling the lower model for $1,399, which drops the second hard drive and Blu-ray reader. With the 18.4" display this notebook could easily take the place of a small TV in a dorm room, playing HD movies and games in full 1080P resolution.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 130M: La Nvidia GeForce GT 130M è una scheda grafica DirectX 10 per portatili e tecnicamente è una GeForce 9650M GT con un clock superiore con un consumo di energia inferiore. E' realizzata con tecnologia 55nm ed il consumo di corrente è simile alla 9600M GT prodotta in 65nm. Come la 9600M GT sfrutta un processore video PureVideo HD (VP3) e supporta la HybridPower.
Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.

Intel Core 2 Duo: Questo è il successore del Core Duo e del Core Solo con una pipeline più lunga ed il 5-20% di velocità in più senza avere maggiore consumo di energia. Come aggiunta al design del Core Duo esiste un quarto decoder, una unità amplificata SSE ed una unità logica aritmetica (ALU) addizionale. Il Core 2 Duo per portatili è identico al processore per desktop Core 2 Duo ma il processore per portatili lavora con un voltaggio inferiore (0.95 a 1188 Volt) ed un Frontside bus clock inferiore (1066 vs 667 MHz). Le prestazioni di portatili con clock equivalenti sono inferiori del 20-25% rispetto ai PCs Desktop a causa del Frontside bus clock inferiore e agli hard disks più lenti.
T9550: La T9550 è una CPU dual-core di media classe della linea Core 2 Duo ed è simile alla P9600 (ad eccezione del TDP più elevato della T9550 - 35 contro 25 W). Le prestazioni della T9550 dovrebbero essere sufficienti per la maggior parte di applicazioni e giochi del 2009.

18.4": I display da 18 pollici sono rari ed utilizzati per i grossi portatili desktop-replacement. I portatili con display da 18 pollici non esistevano prima del 2008. I portatili DTR non sono facili da trasportare, richiedono molta più energia ma in compenso i testi possono essere letti facilmente e le risoluzioni elevate non sono problematiche. I DTR sono principalmente destinati ad un utilizzo stazionario da scrivania, dove il peso ed i consumi non sono rilevanti.
