Honestly I'd have a hard time recommending the Aspire V3-571 G. Sure the notebook offers some great highlights including its impressive processor and graphics card, but the cost for those specs proves to be just too high. Even if consumers can overlook the poor quality display, touchpad and keyboard there is the still the chassis to worry about. Easily flexing and giving way, the chassis raises serious questions as to the durability of this device, which will only further be augmented if users decide to use this laptop on the go. If you are looking for a notebook that you plan to use as a desktop replacement most of the time, moving it only occasionally then the V3-571 G may prove to be a suitable choice for you. However, if you find yourself not needing the extensive processing power that this device offers there are certainly better options available.

It’s a nice unit – pity about the shiny black – it seems very responsive and the video compression ran very swiftly. However the battery use seemed very heavy to me when the specifications say 4.5 hours that’s what I expect. A full recharge (while off) took 90minutes.As with most notebooks the screen is reflective which can mean it’s difficult to read with a strong light behind you.

The battery can be removed and replaced, and removing the large panel on the Aspire's underside reveals two SODIMM memory modules, the Wi-Fi adapter and a 2.5in hard disk. All of these can be replaced, and there's even room to expand, with a second 2.5in hard disk bay and one free mini PCI Express slot. That's one reason you might consider the Acer Aspire V3 over the Samsung Series 7 Chronos. The other is the price, which at £799 is reasonable for such a powerful laptop. On every other count, though, it lags behind, with poorer display quality, shorter battery life and a cheaper design.

Given its mainstream class, Aspire V3-574 can definitely offer you a lot. It’s relatively thin and light (23.9mm, 2.26kg), and it looks very elegant thanks to the nano-imprint patterning aluminum top cover. It has a sturdy construction, which means that it will probably serve you for years. V3-574 has a comfortable backlit keyboard and a nice, large touchpad that supports many gestures. The IPS screen has great viewing angles and high resolution, but it’s not suitable for work with colors due to its poor sRGB color gamut coverage. It’s more than enough for typical tasks like surfing the Web or watching movies, and the latter is really enjoyable with the V15’s quality speakers.

Just say no, and next time throw in something decent, because until the Acer Aspire V15 drops below a grand, it’s hard to recommend, even though the rest of its parts aren’t bad performers, because the way of using the laptop — that whole screen thing — kind of dents the entire experience.

Considering it's just £40 more than the impressive Dell Inspiron 15 5000 but is more powerful, it an obvious Best Buy laptop. Acer stock, specification (screen, processor, RAM and storage) vary wildly and prices change rapidly and unpredictably, however, so be sure that the laptop you're buying is the same as the one on review here - model NX.G1TEK.011.

A noi questo Acer Aspire V3-371 ci ha convinti alla grande e ne siamo molto soddisfatti, certo ci sono degli aspetti che si potevano curare un attimino di più, ma considerando che il prezzo di partenza è di 499€ per il modello i5-5200U possiamo anche passarci su. Se volete qualcosa di più “premium” guardate anche ASUS UX303LB.

The notebook can be found for around €800, offering relatively powerful and capable hardware with great keyboard and touchpad experience. However, the previous V3-574 generation offered better screen quality, and if you are able to find the Broadwell version, it sells for a little more than €700. So basically, you get better image quality and mostly the same performance for a bit less money. Yes, V3-575’s screen has 100% SRGB color gamut coverage and we had better web surfing runtimes because of that, but some of the screen properties like the narrow viewing angles, lower contrast ratio and PWM across 0-99% brightness levels somewhat detract from the positive experience with the notebook.

Acer: Nel 1976, l'azienda è stata fondata a Taiwan con il nome Multitech e nel 1987 è stata ribattezzata Acer o Acer Group. La gamma di prodotti comprende, ad esempio, laptop, tablet, smartphone, desktop, monitor, TV e periferiche per computer. Dal 2007, il gruppo si è fuso con Gateway Inc. e Packard Bell, che commercializzano anche le proprie linee di prodotti per laptop.
I computer Acer sono progettati per una varietà di scopi, inclusi ultrabook per uso mobile, laptop da gioco per giocatori, opzioni convenienti per le attività quotidiane e laptop convertibili 2 in 1 per la versatilità. NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M: Più modelli basati su vari chips della generazione Fermi. Specificamente, la GT 630M esiste nelle varianti GF108/GF106/GF116, ma sono tutte essenzialmente GPUs GeForce GT 540M o 555M con un nome diverso. Esiste anche una variante GF117, realizzata su una litologia da 28nm con ridotto consumo energetico.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M: Si tratta di una GeForce GT 645M/640M rietichettata con minimi miglioramenti per ridurre i consumi energetici.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M LE: Una versione della GT 640M con clock più lento.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760M:
Potente scheda grafica della serie GeForce GTX 700M. Basata sull'architettura Kepler e realizzata daTSMC con processo in 28nm.

Intel Iris Graphics 540:
GPU integrata (GT3e) con 48 EUs e memoria eDRAM dedicata che si trova su alcuni modelli di CPU Skylake (15 W series).
La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).
Intel HD Graphics 4000: Processore grafico high end tra i modelli Ivy Bridge. Offre una differente velocità clock nei diversi modelli di CPU (da ULV a desktop quad core) e di conseguenza con prestazioni variabili.

Intel Iris Graphics 5100: GPU (GT3) integrata con 40 EUs (senza eDRAM) che si trova su alcune CPUs ULV Haswell. La seconda GPU per velocità della sua famiglia.
Intel HD Graphics 5500:
Scheda grafica integrata (GT2) nei processori Core della Broadwell U-series (15 W TDP).
Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.
Intel HD Graphics 3000: 3 imminenti (Q1 2011) schede grafiche integrate nel processore Intel Sandy Bridge (Core ix-2xxx). La 3000 / 200 è la versione più veloce internamente chiamata GT2 con 12 Execution Units (EUs).
Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail): GPU Bay Trail SoCs integrata per tablet e notebook. Si basa sulla GPU Ivy Bridge con quattro Execution Units e supporta DirectX 11.
Intel HD Graphics (Haswell): Scheda grafica mobile Haswell integrata nei processori Celeron e Pentium. L'HD Graphics è la più lenta, chiamata GT1, ha meno execution units (EUs).
NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT: La scheda NVidia GeForce 8400 GT è la nuova versione della GeForce Go 7400 che supporta Directx 10. E' più lenta della 8600M GS. Le prestazioni sono di poco superiori rispetto alla 7400 e quindi può essere utilizzata per giocare avendo l'avvertenza di ridurre i dettagli. Per le persone che giocano saltuariamente è un ottimo compromesso.
La particularità di questa scheda è il "Unified Shader". I Pixel e Vertex-shader non esistono più ma 16 dei cosidetti "stream processors" fanno il lavoro grafico.

3630QM: Processore quad-core basato sull'Ivy Bridge con un clock da 2.4 GHz con supporto Turbo Boost fino a 3.4 GHz. Offre una GPU integrata HD Graphics 4000 ed un controller di memoria dual channel DDR3.
4702MQ:
Processore quad-core ULV Haswell-based con un clock da 2.2 GHz con un supporto Turbo Boost fino a 3.2 GHz. Offre una GPU HDGraphics 4600 integrata ed un controller di memoria dual channel DDR3.
3632QM: Processore quad-core basato sull'Ivy Bridge con un clock da 2.2 GHz con supporto Turbo Boost fino a 3.2 GHz. Offre una GPU integrata HD Graphics 4000 ed un controller di memoria dual channel DDR3. La particolarità dell'i7-3632QM è il basso TDP di 35 Watt rispetto ai 45 Watt delle altre CPUs quad core Ivy Bridge (i.e. 3610QM).
4702HQ:
Processore quad-core ULV Haswell-based con un clock da 2.2 GHz con un supporto Turbo Boost fino a 3.2 GHz. Offre una GPU HDGraphics 4600 integrata ed un controller di memoria dual channel DDR3.
4510U: Processore Haswell-based ULV dual-core con clock da 2.0 GHz con supporto Turbo Boost fino a 3.1 GHz. Offre una HD Graphics 4400 integrata ed un controller di memoria dual-channel DDR3.
5500U:
Processore dual-core ULV (ultra low voltage) Broadwell-based per notebooks e ultrabooks. Offre una GPU HD Graphics 5500 integrata ed Þ realizzata in 14 nm.
6500U:
